The jungles of Venus conceal great treasures - and terrible power.
― In-game description

Venus is a planet in Destiny.

During the Golden Age, Venus was colonized by humanity and considered a "paradise."[1] During this time, Venus was home to a human scientific research settlement that is now in ruins.[2][3]

Overview

Venus is the second planet in the Solar System and is covered in dense jungles. When the Traveler came Venus became a beautiful paradise. Now Venus is hostile and dangerous, with sulfuric gas venting from the ground and dangerous lightning storms constantly raging in the sky.
