Brother Vance is the Trials of Osiris vendor in the Vestian Outpost.[1]
Biography
Brother Vance is a disciple of Osiris, an old Warlock that was banished from the Tower. If the player listens to his dialogue when standing next to him, he will tell the Guardian he is blind.
Following Mara Sov opening the Reef to the Guardians, the disciples of Osiris concluded that despite Lord Shaxx's efforts training Guardians in the Crucible, the Tower would never be ready for the Trials. They took the Awoken opening the Reef as an opportunity to train Guardians in the Trials, however. Sister Faora sent Vance to the Vestian Outpost to inform them of the Trials and give passage to those Guardians who were curious or brave enough to enter.
Merchandise
As most vendors, the gear Vance sells changes every Tuesday at 5am EST.
His gear is very cheap, always under 1000 Glimmer.

Accumulating wins on a single Trials Passage unlocks the following for purchase:[2]

- Boon of Osiris (3 Passage Coins): The Guardian's next win will count as two wins on the Trials Passage.
- Favor of Osiris (3 Passage Coins): A free win will be added to the Trials Passage.
- Mercy of Osiris (3 Passage Coins): The Guardian's next loss will not be counted on the Trials Passage.
