Valor is a Crucible progression ranking system in Destiny 2. Players can earn points toward their Valor rank by completing matches in the Quickplay, Rumble, and Mayhem playlists.[1] It was introduced in Update 1.2.
Rank Points[]
Players earn Valor rank points for both wins and losses, but wins provide more points. Players who win multiple successive matches will also earn a streak bonus, which provides even more points for each win. The streak bonus caps out at five wins, then resets.[1]
As a player earns rank points, they will progress through six rank levels as follows:[1]
- Guardian (0 rank points)
- Brave (50 rank points)
- Heroic (350 rank points)
- Fabled (700 rank points)
- Mythic (1150 rank points)
- Legend (1800 - 2000 rank points)
Once a player earns 2,000 Rank Points, they can reset their rank back to the start. Players can reset as many times as they want within a season.[1]
At the end of each season, all Valor ranks, rank points, and ranks will be reset.[1]
Rewards[]
Ornaments, emblems, and weapons are earned by increasing the player's Valor rank. A Crucible engram is given every time a player progresses to a new Valor rank.[1]
All of Lord Shaxx's wares are tied to a particular Valor or Glory rank. Some rewards require a particular rank level while others require a certain number of Valor rank resets.[1]
Players can obtain the ornament for the Crucible helmet by resetting their rank once and an exotic Ghost Shell by resetting their rank twice.[2]
