  • The Mercury Crisis - Argus Lost

When the shield came down on that fateful day, we thought we had won. For a total of twenty-four hours we believed that Fireteam Argus would emerge victorious from their quest to end the Repetitive mind. We were mistaken. Now, in place of what should have been a great triumph, we bow our heads to the disaster that fell upon them that day.

The Mercury Incident, became the Mercury Tragedy

The day that we learned Fireteam Argus would not return from their mission. The day that thousands of Guardians prayed to the Traveler that it was nothing but a nightmare. The day the Tower, the Guardians, and the Last City itself knew sorrow unheard of since the collapse itself.

    Arxus Essal

    Varrus Vass

    Sara Oray

    Avori

    Fenrir

    Ferla Tur

These names were forever burned into the mind’s of all in the Sol system. The names of those lost on Mercury.

But through the sorrow, a few found hope.

Deep within the bowels of Vex installations, it is said that ghosts can be heard. Ghosts with the voices of those lost on that day. The Vanguard has called out to all Guardians willing to aid in the search.

    Will you answer?

Just an idea, nothing solid in place. Just thought you'd like to know. Also, am I missing names? I feel like there are more people in Argus...

    • There's quite a couple characters you're missing there. Mostly just Avgust and Pariah, Although it would be interesting to have a follow-up to this plot, I'm not sure how it would go, considering that most of our major RPers have pretty much abandoned this site entirely.

    • yeah, that's kinda what I was afraid of. I was thinking of a small thing that a few people could work on to keep the fandom lore coming. Something that would slowly wind down to the end of Argus instead of the abrupt ending that I've seen some RP's end with. It gives people who might want to pick this stuff back up in the future something to start with.

    • I wanted to finish it, at least. But this isn't the first time that this has happened. Progress has slowed down and halted altogether multiple times before. Red acts that way for a reason; he has no faith in any of us.

    • lol, must get a little frustrating. But hey, there's always a plot-hole or a mcguffin that people can exploit in order to get back into the story.

I may be naieve and new to this, but I think they'll come back. At the very least after Destiny 2 comes out, what with all the new lore and stuff.

Wow. That is the single most depressing premise I've ever read.

The RP has stalled and been presumed dead before, only to have it suddenly revive. So no need to worry too much. And pay no attention to ReD, he's like that for reasons that are beyond me.

    • So would you guys be good with this or not? I'll put in the other names you mentioned in the description, but being that you two are basically the only two consistent members I thought the least I could do was ask.

    • I dunno. I'd rather not kill the characters off, just in case the others come back. As for me? The way things are going, I'm not likely to have much time for Wikia soon. Besides, the way I've been writing Scythe's character allows for the possibility of having to leave the RP (and future ones).

    • Here are my two cents on this: things aren't as bad as they look. I know I've been absent, which is thanks to having a lot of schoolwork to catch up with. Anyway, regarding the lack of activity, this is really nothing. We've had the RP stall for much longer periods before. Fire is bound to show up again eventually as he always does, Dab is still active, Das is still active, etc. The only one I think is actually gone is Zero, but who knows, maybe he's lurking around somewhere. I still have hope in this old longrunner, so lets keep it going.

    • I'm almost always here, to be honest. I'd be disappointed in myself if I left a story unfinished. As for Zero, I'm pretty sure he's lost interest entirely, or he's too lazy. I asked him about it before ( I have him on Xbox ) and he pretty much said he would come back, but he never did.

What about FireDrag? Without him, we lose Avgust, Sara, and Pariah.

    • Oh and btw, awhile ago I tried to get in contact with Vessel of War. I believe our conversation is on his profile page if you guy's wanna see it.

    • Just stumbled upon this, and I would like to point out that I have every reason not to have faith in you people. I mean, look at the Repetitive Mind, it was dead for over half a year. Or look at the shit on Bravo, where there's roughly one post every week. Am I wrong, then, when I assume you're all incapable of posting on a regular basis?
