  • Cayde- 6: Guardian, you've done it now.

Commander Zavala told you to be ready for war. Valus Ta'aurc was a speck, a mote of dust compared to the entirety of the war machine of the Cabal. But since when has killing an army leader ever turned out well? It hasn't happened yet.

Those Centurions on the Dreadnought were a nice touch. Gave the 'act of war' bit a little more... heat.

And you thought the Cabal wouldn't get sick and tired of us slaying their high ranking military officials? Nah. Couldn't ever happen.

Until the entire hierarchy is breathing down our necks.

Zavala: You brought this upon us, Guardian. War.

War is the mother of freedom, pride, and love. But it also spawned hatred, opression, and fear. War is the flame creates nations, kings.

War is the forge of Gods.

(I wanted to bring back Num'raul so that he could redeem himself, his fleet is returning to help stop the taken army but they were late by a few years. So now they arrive on Mars, and are ready to kick some guardian ass. As for Ma'carn I don't know how he'd be implemented, but I'm sure that with the character card I'm going to post soon, that you'll see that him being branded a traitor is the exact opposite of what should occur. At very least he should be on Mars, but not being hunted down by Cabal MP.

    • Name: Primus Num'raul

      Race: Cabal

      Class: Centurion

Weapons: -Slug rifle(Wrist mounted) -Sharryx's demise -Solar grenade

Armor: -Cabal war helm laced with Hive bones -Cabal war plate laced with Hive bones, with a Hive knight skull pauldron -Cabal war greaves, laced with Hive bones. -Cabal war boots, laced Hive bones.

Appearance: -At fist glance he may appear to be adorned with your average every day Cabal Primus armor. But a closer look will reveal that his armor his decorated with trophies claimed from battling a splinter fleet of Oryx's armada out in the edge of the solar system. Much of his armor has dents, and void burns around it kept around only due to a lack of supplies out in deep space. But what is truly the biggest scar of the all is that half of skull has been replaced with a cybernetic implant, constructed by his most skilled psions with pieces of the Glaciem Malleus itself melted down to provide a suitable shell. The primus required the need to have such an implant after his arch enemy, Primus Ma'carn, nearly destroyed half of his skull with his powerful arc hammer during a fateful battle in the orbit of Europa. (God Emperor, vs Horus.)

Personality: -After having half of his skull removed along with parts of his original brain, being substituted with neural implant devices, it if of no doubt that the Primus himself has had his sanity slowly degrading ever since his fateful injury. But, what furthered his degrading sanity was his campaign against the Taken armies around the orbits of Jupiter at the edge of the solar system. During this conflict he was forced to fight his own corrupted brethren, with much of the legion's original size being reduced to a fraction of what it once was the primus blamed himself for such losses. It did not help that much of his old command structure had staged multiple attempted mutiny's against him, once their faith in his leadership had been eroded away by time spent out in the void of space. After facing all of this the Primus has been reduced to a paranoid, bitter, and cruel leader who will accept nothing less that undying loyalty, and fanatical devotion from those beneath him.

Bio: After the Fallen house of Storms had raided a Cabal warzone on Mars, Primus Num'raul was tasked with their destruction. With the aid of their brethren legion the Storm Juggernauts, led by their primus Ma'carn, they were able to beat back the Fallen into a corner ready to deal the death blow with their ketch out of the way for good, and their forces routed. It was then that Nu'mraul discovered that Ma'carn had struck a deal with a fireteam of guardians to help the legions defeat the Fallen on the frigid world.(Heh chaos gods) Seeing that Ma'carn had been conspiring with enemies of the Cabal empire, Num'raul branded him a traitor and mobilized his forces to eliminate any under his command, as well as Ma'carn himself. As the legion's attentions turned on each other, a large battle ensued on the ground and in the space above Europa. Land tanks stormed across the icy tundra in attempt to siege the firebase of the traitors, while the fleets of the two primusi engaged above. As the firebase was evacuated much of the land tanks were destroyed in rupturing of the glacier as the ice split in two, many machines were sucked into it's maw never to be seen again. In orbit the battle raged on as Num'raul ordered his legionares to board the flagship of the Storm Juggernauts, the Vita Extinctor IX.(Blood angles and the emperor board Horus's flagship) The boarding teams inflicted much damage upon the flagship but were ultimately beaten back as their leader, Num'raul, was struck down by the skill of Ma'carn.(Sanguine is killed by Horus) If it were not for the intervention of the psion flayer Xeros, primus Num'rual would not have survived that battle. Only the primus, and the psion rescue team was able to escape the Vita Exctinctor and retreat back to the Glaciem Malleus. As Ice Hammers had sustained heavy casualties, not to mention the damage Glaciem Malleus has suffered, they were forced to retreat into the void of space. For years they were presumed dead by the Cabal high command, and there was no doubt in Num'raul's mind that Ma'carn had poisoned the minds of the high command into believing his actions were justified. So the legion drifted aimlessly in space endlessly trying to sustain the life of their primus with a life support system designed by Xeros himself. Eventually, Num'raul was revived once the psions were able to construct his implant and salvage what was left of his skull. But, just as the legion rejoiced in the revival of their true leader the Hive descended upon them.

A splinter fleet of the main armada of Oryx they say encountered the fractured legion over the orbit of Jupiter. The campaign lasts several months as they attempted to board the flagship of the Hive knight known simply as Sharryx the devourer. For weeks, and weeks the firing of broadsides and slug rifles never ceased until the ammunition had run dry. In their desperation they crafted a multitude of swords, axes, and spears from the decaying hull of the Glaciem Malleus itself. Num'raul fancied himself a mace which he would later use to slay Sharryx, but until then the Ice Hammers were left with no ammo and variety of fuel-less vehicles. In a bold attempt to win the battle the Ice Hammers boarded the flagship of the Hive, though not with conventional boarding pods, but with the Glaciem Malleus itself. They rammed at top speed into the broadside of the Hive ship, the craft tore through the hull of the flagship giving an opening for the legionares of the Ice Hammers to thrust pack their way into the dark corridors of the Hive vessel. As the battle raged on Num'raul eventually slew the Knight champion Sharryx, its soul became infused to his mace giving the weapon a much darker power, and potency in combat. Eventually the rest of the fleet sent the rest of their usable harvesters to evacuate the legionares as they prepared to detonate the Glaciem Malleus as it was lodged inside of the Hive ship. The NLS was rigged to explode along with the reactor, and several unused tactical warheads. The result was devastating with much of the Hive fleet being obliterated as they closed in to support the main flagship, even the fleeing Cabal craft had just narrowly escaped the blast and were hit with large energy surge. The effects of which would not be noticed later.

It came to Nu'raul's attention that the Hive fleet he had just destroyed was part of a much bigger fleet. Sensing a shot at redemption, and a chance to spare the lives of countless Cabal soldiers he set a course for Mars. To their horror the NLS drives powering the fleet had cut out around two thirds of the way to Mars, no doubt due to the energy surge they'd suffered earlier. So the legion waited in cryro sleep endlessly hoping to emerge on Mars in about a few hours, little did they know that it would be years before they ever entered the atmosphere of Mars.

Side Notes: -Sharrxy's demise is mace glowing with green fire, and darkness. The bone heart of the champion has been embedded into the center of the handle, and its soul as been absorbed into the weapon by unknown means. It shatters the minds of its targets once it strikes them, not only breaking bone, but breaking their minds as well.

(I hope having that last couple hundred of Cabal being kept alive in cryro sleep wasn't too out of place.)

1: I don't think there's actually years in-between the DLC's/RP's. Remember that HoS was set around the time when the Wolves' rebelled. Now, BW is set in the ending of the Wolves' rebellion.

2: Xeros. He's dead. Or at least missing in action. Seriously though, he lost his hand, got his suit depressurized, and got stuck on a downed Ketch. You're telling me that he survived that and was found before he died to depressuizing/Fallen guards/coldness. Also, how would he have reached the battle on the Vita Extinctor in the first place? Shouldn't he have gotten medical attention first? I can be ok with him surviving, but him rescuing Num'raul onboard the Extinctor with only one hand?)

        Loading editor
    • (Inquisitor: Xeros's hand and suit were probably cauterized together by the shock blade, preventing depressureization. He was also in possesition of an advanced stealth suit, allowing him to escape while the fallen were disoriented. And Psions, especailly flayers, use their mental abilities more than their physical bodies. So, after some medical attention, he could probably lead a rescue team without much trouble, hand or no.)

    • The Ice Hammers speciality is implants, and prosthetics. In the last thread I wrote Xeros as being recovered by a Cabal search party, he was given medical attention as the battle was going on. Hence he wasn't in any of the boarding pods, with Num'raul as they boarded. After a few hours of fighting in the Vita Extinctor Xeros joined the fray once his new arm was constructed, and used his abilities to rescue his primus.

    • (Ok, it's been long enough! We're starting, ASAP.)

Artemis leaned againt the wall, exausted. The day hadn't gone particularly well. She pulled out her throwing knife, and used it to clean Hive dust out from under her nails. They reminded her of maggots. The thought made the Hunter's skin crawl.

      Eugh.

She flung the knife at the Tower lodging's wall, embedding itself in the concrete. The apartment had been so... unhappy looking. So, she'd decorated the walls with mementos. A Cabal helmet with a bullet hole between the eyes, with a pair of deer antlers affixed to them and mounted on a plaque. A Captain's deactivated Shock Blades on a weapon rack. Some House Banners. Artemis looked around the room and grinned. She remembered every opponent that had 'given' her those trophies.

The Hall of Guardians seemed tense that day. The Hunter had strolled up to the Vanguard, and begun to chat with Cayde. He gave her a few leads, and she deleted them. No footprints.

      Until the Cabal showed up.

      On Luna.

    • Meanwhile, the Frontier base was unusually still. A cell, from the Prison of Elders: 2 Awoken guard open the cell, realeasing the Servitor from it's shackles. It floats from it's cell, one eye blinking rapidly. Finally, it spoke:

"Activation complete...Directive: Isolate. And Devour. ..Incoming updates...Directive updated: Investigate Cabal targets on the moon, orders from Frontier Master and the Creator."

The Servitor calmly floated into a Skiff, ready for deployment on Luna. The Skiff takes off, Moon-bound.

        Loading editor
    • (Inquisitor....A Guardian is way too complex for my first time. A Servitor is just basic A.I with a few personal capabilities, perfect for my first time RPing. I'lluse Guardians when I get as good as you guys.)

        Loading editor
    • (Actually, it doesn't need to be complex. Your character can be as simple or complex as you want to. And using a Servitor will most possibly make it much harder to implement your character within the plotline, and perhaps even make your experience just a bit worse. It is best to play as a Guardian, no matter how complex/simple the character is.)

    • (I'll just use the Guardian i came up with then...Sorry for inconvience. I just didn't want to screw up and completely f**k up this.)

(Although I do recommend that new players have some understanding of the Destiny lore, because not all of the things we reference or speak of is in game content. But, rather loose bits of info scattered around in the grimoire cards.)

    • Here is my try at a character

Race, Name - Human, Tristan Tempore

Class, Subclass - Hunter, Night Stalker

      Weapons - Gaheris-D, Hereafter, Bretomart's Stand

Armour - Graviton Forfeit, Iron Companion Vest, Iron Companion sleeves, Iron Companion Boots, Dead Zone Revolution

Appearance - Pale skin, Fire red hair, green piecing eyes. His eyes have that deep, all knowing look. They have gazed upon a thousand worlds and seen things which no guardian wants to see.

Personality - He does not like the presence of other people but prefers to sit on his own. He hardly talks and the only time he comes alive are when he has a gun in his hand. However he loves painting and his favourite activity, apart from fighting and painting, is running in the rain.

      Shader - Electric Aquarius

      Ship - Hebridean Thoughtcrime

Bio - Tristan was a friend of Kabr and went looking for him in the Vault of Glass. However he stepped through a Vex gate and was lost in time just as Kabr was. He wondered through thousands of worlds the Vex had conquered or were in the process of conquering. Eventually he came back to our solar system but found it had been destroyed by Oryx and his minions. He went mad at that point and went back through the vex gate. After years, he stubbled back into our time. He decided that he would change the future and stop Oryx and anyone who came after him. He should have been a couple of thousand years old but somehow hadn't aged a day due to the bending of time by the Vex.

    • The ship glided above the orange dunes of mars. Many eyes followed its progress, though most of them were not human. For some of the current inhabitants of mars, the ship was a welcome sight. For others, it signified a likely death from the hands of a terrible enemy.

The ship turned towards an enclosed valley and its pilot beamed himself down on to the planet dry surface, stirring up a small cloud of dust as his feet hit the ground. His weapon in hand, Tristan Tempore smiled. It was time to meet the Cabal of this dimension.

    • Artemis twirled The Chance around her finger idly. She still reclined on the wall, watching the sun set beyond the mountains. Her mind drifted idly back to the strange presence of the Cabal on Luna. A loudspeaker blared in a female voice overhead. "Artemis Nitran, please report to the Hall of Guardians." She holstered the gun, and jogged down to the Vaguard. Cayde greeted her as she entered.

      "Hey, Guardian. What's new?"

Zavala stepped in. "Cayde, now is no time for jokes and sarcasm. You know the gravity of the problem."

He turned to Artemis, and looked her dead in the eye. "A few days ago you encountered a group of Cabal fighting the Hive on the moon. For every second after your report, we've been monitoring the Cabal's communications. While we don't know much about their language, Rahool has figured out some crucial information."

Ikora Rey opened a holograohic map of the Solar System, and began to narrate the data.

"Planet-to-planet Cabal transmissions are increasing. More Harvesters than ever before have been seen scouting Venus and Luna, as you recall."

Cayde, now serioux, spoke as well.. "We believe the Cabal are setting up strategic outposts and positioning troops. Arms manufacturing spiked based on captured data."

Zavala finished- "They're prepairing for all-out war. If we don't stop their progress now, the Traveler would fall."

Ikora said, "We've assembled a fireteam of Guardians for you. I'd like to introduce to you... "

(Now is character intro time. Riskcity, if you want to use this scenario to introduce Tristan, go ahead. But if you have a good plan, stick to it.)

    • Tristan continued down the corridor, the bodies of the cabal guards strewn across the floor behind him. They had been more organised than he had expected, even laying an ambush for him. Round the corner, he came across a large window which allowed him to see the centre of the base.

It was a frenzy of activity, with cabal gunsmiths working on a host of different projects. However it was not this which caught the hunter's eye, but rather the colossal set of gleaming armour being assembled at the end of the room.

      “Send a message to Cayde-6. He’s coming…”

Bio: Brought to life by his Ghost in a collapsed laboratory on Venus, Zarok was supposed to be an Exo that worked in freight yards or factories. This meant he was built to be slightly stronger than the average Exo, and definitely stronger than some Humans. When he met Ikora Rey, she helped him understand the world in which they lived, and taught him the strength of the Traveler and how to be a true Warlock. After fifteen years of service on the front lines against Vex and Cabal, Zarok gained a place in the Vanguard elite units. His time is divided between Vanguard work and field work, but his favorite job is hunting Vex in the jungles of Venus, thus his most distinguishable featre: a Vex Hydra eye, on a chain around his neck.

      Race, Name: Exo, Rize-21

Weapons: An Answering Chord, Luna Phasar III, Choleric Dragon SRT-49

Armor: Salicin Fen I (helmet), Haliaetus II, Samsara I, Salicin Fen I (boots)

Personality: Rize-21 is very calm & smart at what he does best, under pressure. He would train many new Guardians to their missions, to help them get ready for what's ahead of them. Though he needs assistance when coming against new enemies, as his mind was rebooted & reforge during the collapse,

Bio:  Rize-21 was rebooted & was reforged in the Light of the Traveler to defend alongside with Organic Guardians during the collapse. He was put in the middle of the battlefield, with no experience whatsoever, yet he managed to barely survived. Ikora Rey took him & trained him the way of the Warlock, traning him as a Sunsinger in combat, & with his knowledge about the Minions of the Darkness, their strengths, & their weaknesses.

He was put to test when The Vanguard needed help investigating the ruins of the fight of one of the biggest Vanguard missions, Shield Brothers, as the Vanguard was getting a Distress Signal at the Dreadnaught. He, Tahu-33, and Thomas-42 were sent to to investigate & look for other things that would help them find more weaknesses about the Cabal. As they were investigating, they would not realize it was a set up to capture other Guardians. They fought with all their might, but ended up surrendering after the Fireteam being badly wounded. As they were being moved to their cell, Rize shot himself, to make the Cabal think that he is useless to bring him, which would lead to one of the most complex skills to master as a Sunsinger, the Fireborn. When they were out of sight, he Self-Ressurected, and sprinted as fast as he can, trying to get his other partners. He was able to get both out, but not all of them made it to safety.   As the whole Fireteam were trying to get back to the Hull Breach & trying to go back to Earth, when suddenly, Tahu was shot. The team wanted to help, but it was too late. His Ghost was mauled by surrounding Cabal. Both Rize & Thomas were able to get back to the Earth, but with a price of losing his teammate.

He is currently helping new Warlocks with their combat skills & their knowledge about Warlocks, their skills that they need to master at their Subclass, & the Minions of Darkness. He is also available to do any mission the Vanguard gave him.

(That was my bio for him updated, if there any mistakes, please help me fix it)

The crisp air, reddish brown sand, Cabal & Guardians lie dead, & the many bases leading to other bases, this was part of the wars that took place at Mars, Earth, & all the other maps that were run over by Cabals.

"This really feels like home, all the Guardians that I faced at the Crucible was just amazing, it all..." Rize was interrupted by Artemis "Guardians, stay focused, there could be other Cabal lurking around this place, after all, this was a war zone."

      The Fireteam agrees.

The team was searching for what happened to this war zone. All they could see was the Cabal on top of each other & Guardians that they would easily recognize. As they were searching for clues, Verres stumbled upon what appears to be a dead Cabal, thus hitting a wall.

"What the heck was that." Verres said, confusingly. He was waving his arm, signing that he needs to see this.

"I see, it's a invisible gate, Cabals would use this to sneak through past Guardians, so they could launch a suprise attack. It worked, but not for long." Cassandra told the Fireteam. "The Fallen would use a similar gate, but to keep out Guardians that are trying to get to them."

"DON'T try to do anything that could set an alarm, this is still equiped with..." Artemis was telling, but the Cabal Alarm went off.

      [Static] BEEP.....BEEP.....BEEP....BEEP....BEEP....BEEP....BEEP....BEEP....BEEP

"Who freaking set off the Alarm?!" Rize said, furiously

The Fireteam panicked frantically, trying to turn off the alarm.

"GOT IT!" Verres said, just turning off the alarm.

"Phew that was close, we could..." As they all turned around, they were surrounded by Cabal and the Harvesters.

"Well, this is gonna be fun"

(That is my intro, if you guys don't like it, I'll delete it)

(No offense but we kind of have thing against controlling other people's characters. Secondly, why is everything in italics? Thirdly, in your bio you stated that all goblins are descendants from so called "exo-bots"; we also have a thing against making random shit up. )

    • (Oh, and what is with all the removed posts. There wasn't an argument on the thread with ReD by any chance, was there? And if there was I'd be curious to know as to why it occured; from both point of views.)

(I had conflict with ReD, who was antagonizing on this thread. I believe Vektor removed the post.)

      (Derp2000,

What Warboss means is that when you roleplay, you create your own character and control them alone: you are not allowed to control the actions or dialogue of other people's characters. Secondly he is saying that the italics are unneccary. Thirdly, goblins are alien constructs, and are in no ways related to exos. And fourthly, roleplays require a pretty in-depth understanding of the lore, which we use as a guideline or our actions. For example, saying that goblins decended from exos goes against the established lore of the Vex being an alien force in no way related to humanity or their creations. Thusly by "breaking" this lore, you are "making random shit up", albiet unintentionally.

If you do not know a lot about destiny's lore (which, based on your intro would seem so), I recommend you go check out your grimore cards at bungie.net, or ask the people here about what you want to know.)

    • (I agree with Zero. It is important that you at least know some basic lore before trying to role play. Anyway, are we waiting for anyone else to post their intro?)

    • (Seriously! Its been four whole days and no one has posted, yet you guys have time to post on non-RP threads. Unbelievable; if you guys want to start an RP you have to commit to it. If you the GM or the other players don't commit than how can you even hope to acquire new players.

So hopefully after reading this someone will post something otherwise I don't see any way this RP will start.)

    • (Its been two whole days and I don't see a re-post of the thread.*Sigh* If you can't get a new thread uploaded in three days, I'm going to consider this RP dead and forget it. Seriously the stagnation on this thread has gone on long enough, ethier stick with it and move on Or drop it, and leave. I can understand if you're busy and all afterall we all have lives of our own, but being a gamemaster is a job requires a lot of time and commitment. If you aren't capable of doing that then I kindly suggest that you hold off for a while from conducting your own RP; and start one when you're less busy, and more experienced.)
