The Speaker: The Hive. One of the greatest threats to the Light. Their God-Knight Crota slaughtered an entire army of Guardians, and stole our moon. We faced him in his own realm and killed him. But now, a perhaps even greater threat rise. Have you ever heard of Enxor, Guardian? Not many have.

Enxor, the Bone Wraith, Witherer of Light.

Myth says that wherever this monster walked, wildlife died, vegetation withered away. They say he was infinitely more powerful than Crota, being able to kill a man by mere touch. Before the Collapse, we had settlements in the asteroid belt. Mining platforms, observatories, even space stations. But then the collapse struck us, and with it came Enxor and his legions. The Hive, they crushed everything in the asteroid belt. Enxor razed through the belt like a juggernaut, stopping for nothing, only wanting to destroy. In just a few days, all we had was gone, and the only thing left was Ceres. But soon, Enxor's generals led their legions through defence line after defence line, until only one last outpost on Ceres was left. Then, Enxor came upon them. With one swipe from his scythe, the defenders was turned into ash and bones, and Enxor claimed the asteroid belt for his own. The few survivors either fled into the outer solar system, and became the Awoken, or used escape shuttles to hide on other planets. But much later, a Fireteam whose name is unknown reached through to Ceres, and using the forgotten arts of lost powers, Enxor fell, his body and legions shattered across the solar system. The asteroid belt was at peace, and soon, the new race known as the Awoken settled there and called it the Reef. But one devoted cult remained. The Bones of Enxor. These are the Hive encountered on Europa. It appears they have resurfaced now that the Reef is disrupted by the House of Wolves' uprising. Their intention is to reunite the lost pieces of Enxor and revive him, and wreak havoc on the solar system. Why am I telling you this Guardians? Because I believe that you are our only hope. If Enxor comes back then we are doomed. Some of you have seen the visions, use them to find his parts. Find Enxor's limbs before his sect does. Destroy them, alongside Enxor's twisted followers. Show these Bones of Enxor, show them the true power of a Light-wielder.

Hello and welcome. This the RP known as the Bone Wraith. It is an indirect follow-up to the House of Storms RP. In it, you and your character will be facing the forces of the Bones of Enxor, a Hive Sect devoted to find the lost limbs of the Death god Enxor, and bring him back to life. As this story progresses, lore on the Bones of Enxor and their god will be uncovered, revealing backstory about them. Anyway, here is some important information if you want to join: Due to the chronology of events, TTK subclasses are not usable for your character. Brackets will be used for OOC (Out Of Character) posts. In case you want to join, fill a character template as shown above, post it, and wait for approval from the gamemasters (me and Vessel of War). That's all for now Guardians.

One thing that I request before we start this RP officially: Would all returning players (myself included) please (re)post an (updated) character card, so new players or readers dont have to dig around in the four threads of the last RP to visiualize/figure out our characters.)

    • (This is Breonn's new character card, for a new RP)

      Name: Breonn Karizak

      Race: Human

      Gender: Male

      Sub/Class: Hunter Gunslinger

Appearence: Tall and built athletically. Thick, black hair pulled back into a Japanese style ponytail. Has a duo of war paint lines going down the centre of his face, from forehead to chin.

Weapons: Hawkmoon (Modified), Felwinter's Sniper (Arc), Ash Factory (Void), shock dagger

Armor: Various parts of Fallen, Cabal and Vex armour.

Other Gear: Portable point defense turret, grappling hook (Batman Style), personal shield, food and water rations, unlimited supply of tripmine grenades (Supplied by the Light), three wildfire grenades (Wildfire grenades basically just explode on contact and create a huge fire)

      Shader: Predawne

Jumpship: Starblazer (Think of the Devil's Due BKR but without the House of Devil's insignia)

Bio: Breonn is a calm, yet dangerous guardian born on Earth. During his childhood, he would always be fascinated by celestial beings like stars, or the sun, but he was utterly horrified when the Darkness came to Earth. He hid, and taught himself how to fight, shoot a gun, and survive. After the Darkness finally killed him at age 35, he woke up what seemed seconds later, staring at the glowing blue eye of a strange machine he later found out were called "Ghosts". During his time as a Guardian, he has acquired various fragments of armour from his foes and applied them to his pet project he has been working on since he killed his first Vandal, which is why he wears amour crafted out of enemy armour. His time spent on Europa has enlightened (Pun intended) him as to the true power of the Darkness and what he must do.

      Race: Awoken

      Gender: Male

      Sub/class: Warlock, Voidwalker

      Appearance: Pretty much this http://m.imgur.com/2XDW9ln

      Weapons: Vex Mythoclast, Vestian Dynasty

Armour: Unity Clade chest, Nothing Manacles, Elector's Hood, Iron Regalia boots, "The Risen Ones"

      Shader (if applicable): Goldspiral

      Jumpship: The Fangs of Nyx

Bio: Revived from an ancient soldier stationed on the moon, Orkrim and his Ghost had been stuck on the moon for quite a while, fending off Hive and Fallen troops with basic tools. At some point however, a Guardian landed, but was killed shortly after. Orkrim took his Jumpship and went back to the City. Now an experienced and calm Warlock, he is respected among other Guardians. While on Mars, Orkrim found Cabal data on a previously unknown Fallen House, called the House of Storms. They were planning to use ancient technology on Europa to destroy Earth. Orkrim decided to go there and see for himself.

What he found there was horrifying. A Guardian Fireteam was already present, trying its best to fight the Storms. Together with these Guardians, Orkrim faced hordes of Fallen, legions of Cabal, a mad Exo Titan, betrayal and even loss of limbs, but in the end, the Fireteam's goal was achieved; to stop the Storms from finding the Exo Foundry on Europa.

    • Name: Scythe 6-2

      Race: Human

      Gender: Male

      Sub/Class: Hunter Bladedancer

Appearance: Short blonde hair and stubble, grey eyes. Something of a sarcastic, sociopathic  asshole even to his fellow Guardians. Extremely foul-mouthed.

Weapons: Graviton ESM, Super Good Advice, Hunter Knife, Wire Rifle, Shrapnel Launcher, twin Shock Swords, Arc grenades.

Armor: Dustwalker set, recolored black; Don't Touch Me; House of Blades cloak/Hood of the Night Sun

      Shader: N/A

      Jumpship: Recolored Javelin

Bio: Many years ago, Scythe was tasked with seeking out info on the House of Blades. What he found was a crippled Fallen House. He took mercy on them, becoming their new Kell and leading them in stealing weapons, ships, and equipment all across the system. He works for anyone, for a price. The Reef, the City--Glimmer is Glimmer. He is most certainly not a Dark Guardian, however, as he usually does the right thing. Usually. He uses mainly Fallen equipment, including a stolen Pike. The Blade Ketch is a unique model, a long range stealth ship.

He arrived on Europa with the initial plan of looting the dead Fallen there, and stealing what he could from the House of Storms. He eventually allied with Fireteam Argus, after several brief fights with Sauron. In the end, many foes fell to his Shock Swords.

While he prefers to act like a ninja, he can very much hold his own in a firefight. With a extended mag that clocks at 27, the ability to fired in full-auto and having a faster reload on mag depletion, his Aries Nemesis is deadly. Patience And Time, a sniper with the ability to cloak him upon ADS, is a weapon that is meant to conceal, target and assinate. Tomorrow's Answer, a splendid rocket launcher he earned as a trophy of tactical play in the Trials Of Osiris. Like a alot of farts (lol) he is silent, yet deadly.

After his resurrection through an Exo repair matrix, the Exo gained his pre-Collapse memory, including his past action in the Smear of Ceres during the Collapse, where Exnor first encountered humanity. At that time, Sauron was a member of the Colonial Rangers, and his three-man team was the only one to survive the Hive assault. Sauron still carries deep scars from that horrific massacre, and with Exnor's return, he has sworn to avenge his long-perished comrades and take the Eldritch Prince's head- whatever the cost.

    • Name: Varrus

      Race: Human

      Gender: Male

      Sub/class: Titan, defender

Appearance: tanish skin, swept-back brown hair, hazel eyes, stands a full head taller and a shoulder width wider than most other humans

Weapons: The summoner (Adept, void), Invective, and Jolder's hammer (void)

Armour: Monitor type 2 helm, Astrolord guantlets, Holdfast type 2 plate, Molniya type 0 greaves, and the mark of the voidborn

      Shader: Blacksmith

      Sparrow: S-13 "graverobber"

      Jumpship: Draught of nectar

Mark of the voidborn: An ancient and ornate mark forged of void light, it takes the form of a voidmail sash and loincloth, bound to a tough synthetic belt with a relic iorn buckle

Force shield: Varrus, upon slaying an enemy with disintegrate, forms the void light into a physical tower shield in front of him. This shield is a good bit tougher than force barrier, at the cost of only covering one side of his body at a time.

Bio: "The chain is only as strong as its weakest link." These are the words Varrus has lived by ever since the start of his second life in service of the traveler and the city. Rather than run strikes or patrol the wall, he has dedicated himself to the crucible and its variants. Upon his back hang a pair of well-use trophies, one frrom the fabled iron banner, and another from the far less well know trials of osiris, each a testemant to his skill in combating his fellow guardians. But rather than fight for the glory of victory, he fights to strengthen his opponents, giving advice and pointers after every mach, and watching with pride as those he bests slowly but surely get better.

He awoke to the start of his second life deep beneath one of the many sunken spires of clovis bray in freehold. Finding no immediate way out, he sat there for a month stright, with nothing but tapped cabal battle chatter and the voice of his ghost to keep him occupied. He was freed from his sandy prision when the jumpship of another titan crashed through several floors of the tower, nearly flattening him. The titan inside had lost his ghost and was dying of his wounds. With his dying breath, he gifted Varrus his mark and what was left of his jumpship to return to the city.

Several years later, a dead orbit salvage team returned from a foray into freehold claiming to hold fragmentory data of a genetics manulipulation experiment preformed by the top scientists at clovis bray. While a few in the tower speculated that Varrus was perhaps a product of these experiments, the data was inconclusive only proving that such an experiment was drawn up, not wether it was ever scantioned or preformed. Varrus, for his part, holds no memory what so ever of his life before the collapse, and is content with his position as it is.

    • (Nice to see that you like it. Here is Enxor's bio.

Name: Enxor, the Bone Wraith. Witherer of Light.

      Race: Hive.

      Gender: Male(?)

      Class: Knight.

Appearence: Most Hive have something skeleton-like over them. Enxor is a skeleton. His snow-white limbs look like oversized bones, his head a skull, and his chest a hollow ribcage. And in place of the three normal green eyes of the Hive, Enxor have three pitch-black ones. Due to the Darkness that empowers him, Enxor's otherwise white limbs appears to have a black encrustment around the edges. Enxor is also notably both taller and more slim than other Hive, not having the bulky body of a normal Knight, and standing atleast one head taller than Crota.

Weapons: A giant two-handed scythe. The blade can be folded into the handle, and then be used as a boomer.

Armor: Extremely resilient Hive Knight armor.

Abilities: Can grab anything living and turn it into a pile of broken and withered bones. This ability was often used by him during the Reef Cataclysm, most notably used on the commander of the defence of Ceres. The armor of him corrugated and rusted, his flesh turned into ash and rotten strips of meat, and finally his bones broke, and all that was left was a small pile of ash, rusted plasteel, and bones.

Bio: Little is known about Enxor, and what is known is most often held away from the public. However, the things that do slip out from the archives are terrifying. The legends tells us of an event named "the Reef Cataclysm" at the start of the collapse. No one really knows why it occured. Some, like Dead Orbit, claim that we disturbed an ancient entity when mining for minerals. Others like the FWC says that Enxor and his legions was sent out by the Darkness itself to claim the inner asteroid belt. Either way, all we had built in there was destroyed when Enxor came upon us. His legions annihilated everything. We were unprepared, thinking that nothing could hurt us as long as we had the Traveller. Enxor proved us wrong. His conquest was successful, claiming the asteroid belt and the Reef as Hive territory. Still, with the help of now lost powers Enxor was slain, and his body parts spread across the solar system. In later years, cryptarchs and warlocks have studied the events and have come up with this theory. Enxor was apparently worshiped as the Hive's death god, however, as it is unknown for Hive to die of old age, one can assume that for the Hive, death means the destruction of their enemies. If this is true, then it would mean that the Bones of Enxor intend to bring Enxor back to destroy the Light.)

    • Daron sat in his seat. He was exhausted. The Speaker had told to go to <insert place name here> to fight a Hive cult called "The Bones of Enxor". He felt the name strange. The Hive weren't exactly the palaentologist guys. But the fact was, they were hunting for the bones of a feared Hive leader, called Enxor. They want to bring him back alive. Legend says Enxor can kill people with a touch. Daron felt uncomfortable. He closed his eyes, and rested for a moment.

No, he wasn't sleepy. The truth was, he was terrified. He had fought the Hive before. He knew how dangerous they were. One shot to the head and it's all but over. He had died once, he won't again. Should he join a Fireteam? No, that wasn't a good idea. He had lost his friends before, he didn't want to risk losing anyone again. Thinking again about the mission, he activated the Warp Drive of his jumpship, and it speeded, to a deserted location...

So, my suggustion for balancing combat, and keeping the RP challenging, is to create a second fireteam, and split the two up. Have the two fireteams go to diffrent locations and fight diffrent foes to accomplish the overarching goal: halting the rebirth of Enxor. As you know, fireteams go from three to six guardians. So, seeing as we have around three new recriuts (so far) creating a new fireteam is an easy way to avoid the GM headache of the party steamrolling boss fights, and keeps normal combat interesting. Seeing as the total PC count now totals at...10 (Counting Karak and not counting Jackie, Echo, Gabe, Sara or other backround(ish) characters). This could round off well into fireteam Argus with 6 and fireteam -insert badass name here- at 4 with room to grow. Plus with a pair of co-GMs and some communication, this could make things a hell of a lot easier to run. Sound good?)

Armor: Stratus Armor with a severely tattered gunemtal-grey cloak and hood.  Extra rounds for the sniper rifle are held on a bandolier and strapped to his right wrist and shoulder.

      Shader: Broadsword

Jumpship: Black LRv1 Javelin belonging and shared by the Knights Teutonic.

Bio: Zand is a member of the illusive Knights Teutonic, an isolated organization of Guardians whose mandate is to protect and guide journeyers as they voyage through the perilous ruins of Europe.  These Guardians seldom return to the Tower, and, as such, are known not by even the highest and mightiest of Tower dwellers.  Zand is a very held back individual, only speaking when something needs to be said.  He is trained in foresting, foraging, and exploring, useful for navigating hostile lands unseen.  Like the other Teutonics, selflessness was forced upon him at recruitment.  With this in mind, he will defend his assigned pilgrim to the death.  It matters not the threat, nor the intentions.  Being only an apprentice, however, he is not willing to go the drastic lengths of his fellow knights.  Death is quite a frightening price to pay for a wanderer one just met the day before.

    • (Sean: Welcome. Two recommendations I'd like to shoot your way reguarding your character: 1) While it isnt absoultly critical, you might want to equip your character with legendary weapons and armour. If you want, you can look for images on the wiki, and mix and match your favorite peices. 2) Altough I love the bio, especially considering your lack of knowlage on the lore, I would request one minor change: In the destiny lore, Guardians have not ventured beyond the astroid belt sucessfully until the events of the last RP. Europa is a frosen waste land, and the old colinies that once held human life are now overrun by nature and the armies of the darkness. It would make much more sense for the Knights Teutonic to guard people who choose to migrate across the (actually populated) ruins of earth to the city.)

      Name: Avgust Vladimirovich Boris

      Race: Human

      Gender: Male

      Sub/Class: Titan Striker

Appearance: Outside of his armour, Avgust stands a head above most of his peers and has a pale skin colour. On his head, he is missing his right ear after combat with the Fallen during the Collapse, a scar he has kept. His eyes are an icy brown, and his brown short-kept hair has gone a bit grey on the sides.

Weapons: *A.1F19X-Ryl (renamed 'The Thing I Hold', the extra orange on the weapon gone over with a greyish blue, Vanguard mark kept present.)

      • Strike One (a Sidearm similar to the Vestian Dynasty, however is coloured greyish blue with a Vanguard mark on the side of the weapon.)
      • Thunderlord (the original Exotic Heavy Machine Gun.)

Armour: Avgust keeps his old Armada Type 3 Armour, however after the battle with the Fallen House of Storms on Europa, his gear has been damaged. While in the Tower, he took the time to repair the armour with some of the Plasteel Plating and parts of his Iron Banner Regalia Armour he had in store. Specific modifications were made to the armour to increase the durability and the movement as much as possible, the reworked armour now going under the title of "Stormcrusher". His chestplate is now the Crest of Alpha Lupi.

      Shader: Goldspiral.

      Jumpship: Outrageous Fortune

Bio: Vanguard Lieutenant Avgust Vladimirovich Boris was before the Collapse, a member of the Traveler's Defence Force, and was deployed to protect the Cosmodrome and the fleeing innocents from the Fallen. Unwilling to stand down or surrender to the Fallen, Avgust was eventually humiliated and killed outside the walls of the Cosmodrome. Centuries past and Avgust was revived by one of the Traveler's Ghost, and with the help of an experienced Warlock made his way back to the last safe city on Earth. Going underneath the tutorship of Lord Saladin, Avgust was trained well to be able to defend the City from any threat, as he was then challenged during the Battle of the Twilight Gap. Coming out of the Twilight Gap as a champion, the Vanguard recognised Avgust's incredible performance and extended an invitation to become a Lieutenant. Avgust agreed.

Years later Avgust was sent by Commander Zavala to investigate a group of Guardians lost in their travel to the moon of Europa. Deploying there Lieutenant Boris received control of the small Fireteam now known as Fireteam Argus, as he and the other Guardians challenged the Fallen House of Storms from taking vital Golden Age technology from Europa to use against the City. Defeating the Fallen Archon: Rhall, Avgust returned to the City with the news that he had dealt a major blow to the House of Storms. Before he arrived, he received a vision of Enxor and his dark armies which challenged the last safe city on Earth. With support from the Vanguard, Avgust is now trying to find suitable members to join Fireteam Argus to push back the Hive once again.)

    • (To Sean: Your character is a very good one, especially for someone who have never played the game. However, there are some errors I'd like to point out (please note that some of these are extremely nitpicky).

1: No Land Beyond is a sniper used as a primary, as crazy as it sounds. So you can't use both it and the Auto rifle.

2: Europa, the continent, is not frozen. On the other hand, the moon Europa was never populated to a greater extent, as 107 pointed out.

      3: Why no Heavy weapon?

4: As 107 pointed out, why no legendary armor?

5: You say Zand was trained from a young age to join the Knights Teutonic. This, however, is not possible if they are Guardians. You see, all Guardians are selected from the dead bodies of people who have fallen to the forces of Darkness, one way or the other. So Zand would have had to be trained to join some other order, or the same one without Guardians, before he was killed and made a Guardian.

6: (this one is just nitpicking) Broadsword is a green shader, which means the cloak can't be grey.

There is really nothing else wrong, other than the stuff pointed out by me and 107, so tweak the bio, and perhaps consider a Heavy weapon and legendary armor, as well as getting a new sniper rifle. After that has been done, you are good to go. By the way, if you need information, this wiki got pretty much everything worth to know.)

    • (Information on the Bones of Enxor:

Bio: The Legions of Enxor was once called the Ashes of Death. When Enxor fell, and the armies shattered, his most devoted followers managed to gather a large number of Hive who was still loyal to the fallen god. They renamed themselves the Bones of Enxor, after the cause they were devoted to: find and reassemble Enxor's limbs. At an unknown point however, the Sect disappeared from the face of the universe, never to be heard from again. That was until recently. Fireteam Argus found and fought a small group of these vile creatures, and slew the most. The fact that they have reappeared is enough to worry the City though, and sooner or later they will attempt to bring back their dead god.

Appearence: Due to their prolonged exposure to Enxor's sickening powers, all of the Bones of Enxor have become more and more similar to their god, at least in the looks. Their already skeletal limbs have been twisted and deformed into being actual bones, colored in grey and bone-white.

Abilities: The Bones of Enxor have the knowledge and power to use an ancient ritual known as the Blessing of Bone. When cast, the reciever, which is always a Knight, is twisted into a being known as a Bone Zealot, a devoted crusader whose search for Enxor's limbs never stops, not until he is reborn. These Knights also works as the field commanders for the Bones of Enxor.

Ultras: The Skull Zealot, the oldest known Bone Zealot and formal leader of the Bones of Enxor.

The Fiend, Enxor's general and most devoted servant. The actual leader of the Bones of Enxor.

Kharot, the Decaying. A failed attempt to use the Blessing of Bone on a Ogre, now chained deep inside Ceres.

Fallax, Keeper of Bones. The guardian of all parts of Enxor gathered.)

    • (This is just some small build-up.)

At the Skull Throne inside the Hive Fortress known as "The Tomb of the Reaper", four twisted and deformed Knights kneeled before their master, the Skull Zealot. The huge skeletal Knight sat on the throne made of human skulls, taken from the victims of the Reef Cataclysm. It spoke with a booming, loud demonic voice, almost at the brink of screaming.

"My brethren, Enxor's rebirth is close. We have all but four parts, and that is why I have summoned you here. You, my Bone Zealots, are some of the most powerful servants we have. Each of you will travel to a planet in search of a part." The Skull Zealot paused for a moment, before facing the closest Bone Zealot. "Rise. Your mission is to find the ribcage of Enxor, hidden deep in the Hellmouth on the Moon, also known as Luna. Ready your army, and prepare for transport." A Wizard came up behind the Knight the Skull Zealot had addressed, and opened a portal which both of them entered. When the portal had closed, the Skull Zealot addressed the other Bone Zealots. He sent them to Earth, Venus and Mars, to find the remaining parts.

      Name: Arxus Essal

      Race: Human

      Gender: Male

      Sub/class: Titan Striker

Appearance: Slicked black hair and fair toned skin, one blue eye and one blind eye, with a scar running from brow to cheek. Across his Armamentarium chestplate, there is a visible crack that was caused by Rhall, the House of Storms' former Archon.

Weapons: Vision of Confluence, Dry Rot 32, Gjallarhorn

Armor: Commando Type 0 Helmet, Commando Type 0 Gauntlets, The Armamentarium, Commando Type-0 Boots, Spirit of Saturn

      Shader: Revenant

      Jumpship: Aspect of Glass

Bio: Arxus Essal typically relates himself to that of a covert agent, running specialized strike missions for the Vanguard. He often prefers to run these missions alone, as he doesn't get along with other people. The extended mission on Europa changed his views on teamwork. Now as a member of Fireteam Argus, Arxus is the resident demolitions expert; there isn't anything he wouldn't blow up. Though he's typically a reserved sort of person, he can get nasty if the situation calls for it. After returning to the tower, Arxus was issued new gear and debriefed on all current events. Though he could really use a vacation, this Titan is ready to get back out and crush some skulls.

    • Arxus stood among the most respected members of the Vanguard, in what seemed to be a meeting. Though he wasn't one who necessarily belonged here, rather fixating his desires in fieldwork, orders were necessary. Discussions were made concerning the Speaker's most recent task; stopping the Bones of Enxor. Arxus had never even heard of such a thing, but the solar system was vast. The Darkness claimed most of it, and who even knows what their hold might look like outside the Sol System. The Titan stood at the edge of the Vanguard table, his helmet held beneath his left arm. His Ghost flitted out of particlized Light, appearing over the Titan's right shoulder.

"I don't think they were too pleased with this unsanctioned mission." The Ghost started to speak, whispering into Arxus' ear.

"You keep saying that. Stop being so worried. If I knew the Traveler would issue me such an emotional Ghost, I would have requested another one." Arxus replied, staring towards Zavala at the other edge of the table. He was conversing with Avgust, ( assuming he was still there ) likely about the House of Storms. The Titan merely nodded.

The Ghost's eye narrowed. "That's not funny. If I knew the Traveler would stick me with a sassy Guardian, I would have requested another one."

Arxus sighed, pushing the Ghost away.

As he approached the hangar, he dialed up his jumpship. A massive Gatling-type gun was lowered from the bottom. "Heh. Tough bastard. Held his own for longer than I thought he would before Zavala got tired of him."

While he joked with shaxx as he approached the vanguard's chambers, he was worried. Tentions with the guardian mentors rarely got high enough to provoke someone into storming out, indicating that something of great weight was being disscussed. Varrus was thankful that he didnt have to stoop to fit under the large archway to the underwatch, as he did with most doors. The back and yellow giant stood, arms patiently crossed in front of his chest, and lisened in on the conversation between all three of the vanguards and a titan lieutenant.

      Gender: Male

      Sub/class: Hunter, Gunslinger

Appearance: Slick white haircut, pale blue skin, glowing green eyes

Weapons: The Devil You Know, The Devil You Don't, "Bad Shot", Praetorian Foil

Armour: Elector's Mask, Carnivore Match chest, Unbelievably Old Cloak, Sanction Six gauntlets, Tireless Striders

      Shader: Fortuna Burn

      Jumpship: Glass Minuet

Bio: Chorrin was resurrected from the ashes of an Awoken mercenary, who died on the top of a skyscraper in the Martian city Freehold. In the days after his resurrection, he developed a hate for both the Cabal and the Vex, as they were the two factions continuously harassing him in his search for a way to get to the Last City. When he eventually managed to reach the City, it turned out that he had not lost his rebellious ways in death, and he often got into arguments, and once even a fistfight, with Commander Zavala. Despite this, Chorrin is a competent soldier, and he has teamed up with Orkrim a couple of times, usually to assassinate Vex or Cabal targets.

After the events on Europa, Chorrin realised that his selfishness wouldn't get him anywhere anymore, so he decided to stick with Fireteam Argus, serving the team with his expert marksman skills and deadly wits.

Zand sighed, "Noble Vanguard.  I beg to put before the Orders' report of goings on.", he stood tall, facing the ghost as if it was his future audience, "The malicious woods are safe at last, but one of our ranks, Jakar Skree, has been wounded.  Another, a Lilla Joram, has not returned from her journey.  The trekkers she was guiding, however, have safely returned, as have the remainder of the other parties", he nodded to the Ghost, "Thank you for you time"  The flying eye stood still for what seemed like a fortnight, staring with judgement.

"Now, that was good", its voice trailed into a quieter, more accusatory tone.  "But it wasn't great."  Zand uttered a noise of exasperation, "Well aren't you particular today!"  The Ghost's eye widened.  "I'm particular every day", it corrected, "But today you'll be representing all of us.  One small mistake, and the Captain shall have your head on a wall."  "Ah!", Zand exclaimed, "The Captain!  I forgot all about him!  If the Vanguard know what he does-"  "They won't", the Ghost darted closer, giving the faceless equivalent of a death stare, "I'll make sure of that.  Understood?".  Zand nodded.  The ghost vaporised into particles, and the ship's ramp opened.

"Lemme get this straight, Sauron ditches us, sends you to spy on me, and now he expects me to return you in the same shape you were found?" A short pause was followed by a "What the hell, get in." Scythe summoned his Ghost, which glared at the new arrival. "Keep an eye on him. And keep him away from the Servitors."

"Well, Mister Meat-Thing, I'd think that figuring out that Avgust isn't really planning on keeping any of our secrets is a pretty big deal. And for that, you all need little AI like me. Ones that be stealthier than a Ghost. I wasn't spying on you, I was spying on our Oh-So-Valiant Commander. The Russian one. Who's just about the most authoritarian Titan I've ever seen, by the way. Complete order, complete control, and all that. Maybe he should go work for New Monarchy. Do you think Sauron should suggest that to him? I keep telling him that."

    • Varrus was about to make another joke about someone else trying to fight Zavala to the pair of awoken standing near him, when he turned his head and realised whose presense he was in. He didnt know him by name, but almost everyone in the tower reconized "the hunter who tried to fistfight Zavala". Had ended with him out cold, as Varrus remembered, and he figured the hunter would probaly never live that down. The titan kept his joke to himself and smiled behind his helm, returning his attention to the inportant conversation at hand.

    • Avgust watched as Scythe stomped out of the room, furrowing his brow as he began to contemplate a response. He however stopped himself, and exhaled audibly as he turned to face Zavala again. «Vy sovershenno ublyudok samostoyatel'no, Scythe.» The Lieutenant muttered under his breath, watching as a set of Guardians including Chorrin and Orkrim entered the room.

Sara watched as Scythe left, upset that he had the nerve to address her mentor like that, seemingly unprovoked as well. As she watched, she set eyes on the new entries to the Hall as well, looking towards Zavala as he would then speak: "I see that one of your Hunters, Cayde; has been keeping secrets from the rest of the City."

Cayde was about to reply, before Avgust elaborated: "We found Scythe in control of the Fallen House of Blades, and in his possession a Ketch along with a variety of Fallen equipment that our City deperately needs. He helped us with our problems with the Storms, but it has become apparent that he has his own priorities in mind. Either way, these Storms fled with a few prototype Exo frames with means to manufacture more. Seeing as Scythe is reluctant to release necessary information, I do believe he has in stock a few prototypes as well.

"But at this time, it isn't our concern that Scythe has possession of these, or that the Storms have fled elsewhere. Although I find it necessary to keep tabs open on both, we have a major threat growing on the edge of our system that is preparing to come down on us. I believe this will call for action, we cannot permit these Bones of Enxor to become something we cannot control."

Avgust paused, as Commander Zavala nodded his head in careful agreement. Ikora and Cayde-6 looked in as well, as Cayde-6 began: "I guess we better start getting things done then. Fireteam Argus has, (in literal and metaphorical expression) prevented a storm coming our way. But the fact that another Hive God is on the rise, we need to do something."

"I think you will find that the Warlocks agree, Lieutenant." Ikora started, "although the success against this House of Storm is up to debate, especially in the area of allying with the Cabal, you and your Fireteam have proved yourselves worthy."

"Indeed." Zavala stated, "Stock up on supplies here at the Tower, and find worthy Guardians to file into your ranks. If we are dealing with a Hive Threat, I also encourage you to discuss this with Eris. Arxus, I will require you to stay and file me a report starting from the last one you filed since you went to Europa. Everyone else, dismissed."

Avgust and Sara straightened, and saluted the Commander, as was the Titan custom. They broke off as soon as Zavala dismissed them, Avgust heading through the long hallway with Shaxx and his Frame. Lord Shaxx simply nodded to the Lieutenant, as Avgust returned the gesture. He hadn't spoken much to Shaxx since the Battle of the Twilight Gap, as he agreed with his commanding officer at the time: Lord Saladin that Shaxx's breach of security to pick off stragglers was rather unnecessary. He however still had respect for Shaxx, and his Crucible.

Heading up the two sets of stairs, Sara then asked Avgust: "So this Scythe character, I hope he is a lot more pleasant than I assume him to be at the minute."

Avgust approached the Vault space which contained old sets of his armour, removing the Iron Regalia which was presented to him by Lord Saladin. Along with the Iron Regalia, the Lieutenant removed his exquisite chestplate: the Crest of Alpha Lupi. Beginning to repair the damaged and ugly plating of his old Armada Type 3 armour, Avgust carefully applied and sealed the beautiful pieces of tree and wolf carving onto the Armada Type 3 set.

"He is a joy." Avgust muttered, "Believes that whatever he comes by and he can take from is his. Much like the Fallen he has as allies. I can thank him for his, 'hospitality' and assistance on Europa. But I honestly doubt he has any real intention to protect this City when he has something else in mind."

"So, he is a ravager then?" Sara asked, before Avgust replied: "Close. But one that walks the thin line of what is sensible and what isn't. Doesn't mean he still isn't a damned wretch, however."

Sealing the final ornate piece of his Iron Regalia armor to his Armada Type 3, Avgust soon glanced with satisfaction over the wonderfully crafted piece of armour. Buckling and sealing it to his bodysuit, Avgust found that the cuts he made to the Armada to mount on the plating from the Armada made it easier for him to move around in, seemingly more light-weight in nature.

Sealing the Crest to his torso, Avgust sealed the attachments onto the shoulder and the back of the armor which would allow him to attach his hard-case backpack to the now ornate set of armour. Sara whistled, approaching Avgust before running her smaller hands over the armour. "I think you may actually be a better artist than a fighter, Avgust." She teased, as Avgust softly nudged her away. "There is an art behind my fighting."

Sara smiled, "Sure. When it isn't you breaking or smashing the closest thing to you, you are an artist in your own right."

Avgust chuckled, looking back to the Hall of Champions before heading back down the stairs to where the Vanguards were discussing with the members of his Fireteam.

    • (Before anyone complains about me posting my intro before I post my character's info, I'm doing this to build more mysteriousness about my character. Just bear with me.)

Oldric- loaded another magazine into his scout rifle just before he finished off the last of the vex goblins. He always had hated the one eyed machines and he hated the jungles of Venus even more, but the lone hunter contiued on his patrol route as instructed by the vanguard.

"Time to get moving," he said as he summoned his sparrow. The guardian soon sped off into the vast landscape of the Ishtar Sink uncertain of what lied ahead. A few figures stood above watching the lone guardian from their vantage point on top of the cliff face, they wore tattered robes and rebreathers and stared endlessly at the Hunter with a deep disgusted look about them.

One of the figures quickly pulled a sniper rifle over his shoulder, just by looking at it anyone could tell it was one of the weapons that only the city manufactured not a wire rifle used by the Fallen aliens. No, these were different kinds of scavengers. As he lined up the sights, he whispered but two words to himself, "Lights out," and then he pulled the trigger. He then signaled his fellow warriors his job was finished.

Down below the cliffs Oldric- struggled to keep the sparrow under control as it spiraled out of control it was clear to him that the vehicle had been damaged. The quick hunter leaped off of the jet bike gracefully and drew his scout rifle, he aimed down the sights and to his horror a mob of 10 cloaked figures bearing down on him. Their weapons raised and motivations clear.

One of the figures drew his rocket launcher and aimed at the guardian, the hunter recognized it at as an common weapon from the city. How these madmen managed to aquire though was the least of his concerns, as he combat rolled to the side to aboid the projectile. The rest of the figures opened fire with their weapons, hand cannons, pulse rifles, even auto rifles poured high caliber rounds in the direction of the guardian.

Oldric realized he was trapped between the men trying to kill him, an the cliff face behind him. Knowing is only option was to fight he drew his scout rifle to bear and began firing it, Hygia Noblesse it was called a gift for serving the queen many years ago. He dropped two of the cloaked figures before retreating into cover behind a rock outcropping, he then threw a tripmine grenade directly at one of the, it stuck the enemy and then detonated as he tried to pull it off of his armor.

"Three down seven more to go," Oldric said to himself. But his victory was short lived as two rockets tore through the air and struck home in the rock outcropping, shrapnel and rock bits flew around him as he tried to recover from the blast.  He rose to his feet and drew out his scout rifle, he then noticed the figures had stop firing but instead bowed towards another figure. Darkness seeped from his robes as the dark figure floated above the ground towards the guardian, Oldric thought to himself Could it be a wizard?

Sensing this was not the time to ask questions he pulled out his scout rifle and aimed at the figure, all of a sudden his mind was racked with sheer amounts of terror. Oldric couldn't even comprehend what he was seeing, the hunter grabbed his head as if he was in pain and fell to his kness before the Darkbringer. He had lost his most of his sight, and could feel the light being sucked out of him and then he saw it. It was no wizard it was a warlock! He gave one last scream of agony before the Darkbringer drew his hand cannon, "How pitiful," the figure spoke and then he pulled the trigger. As Oldric's limp corpse was thrown aside the Darkbringer grabbed the once alive ghost and strapped it to a chain were many other ghosts hanged.

"Another one for the collection," the figure then signaled to his warriors, "Come on we got more work to do."

      Race- Awoken

      Gender- Male

      Weapons- The Chance (hand cannon)

Armor- Nerigal Savant III (helm), Monolith Bleed IV(Gauntlets), ISTANGU-GNT RAZOR (robes), Nerigal Savant III (boots), Bond of the Mind breaker.

      Abilities

-Wall of Darknes: A technique stolen from hive knights, he is proficient enough to use his hand cannon when doing this but can't shoot around or through the wall.

-Dark bolt: A dark infused cluster of void energy, his standard ranged attack fires a burst of these potent bolts that rend and punch through armor with ease.

-Harness Will: Upon casting the Darkbringer is detached from his own body and rendered vunerable, but gains control of another.

-Rift tear: A technique stolen from hive wizards, the caster tears a hole in reality and appears elsewhere.

-Void shield: A darkness infused bubble of void energy that surrounds and protects him.

-Break Will: The caster temporarily breaks the mind of any single chosen individual, the target's perception of reality is vastly skewed, and their mind is exposed to horrors beyond their comprehension.

Appearance- He never takes off his helmet, one can only tell he is awoken from his accent. He floats slightly above the ground like a hive wizard and darkness seeps out of his robes. And his bond his made of collected dead ghosts.

      Jumpship-LRV1

Bio- The Darkbringer goes by many names Master of will, bane of light, and betrayer and shame, it all depends on who you talk to. The Darkbringer is simply the most common name he goes by, in truth even he has forgotten his own name. As the vanguard for their part expunged any records of his accomplishments, and achievements long ago.

The reason for his exile rests firstly with his deep affiliations with the infamous Trinary Star cult, and secondly with an incident on Venus involving him and two other guardians. He comes to Ceres aboard a restored, and refitted cargo freighter along with several hundred of his most loyal cultists, to harvest the dark where it seethes the most: at the gathering of Enxors most loyal zealots. And a little more stolen hive knowledge couldn't hurt.

    • Sauron, who'd been waiting on the others to return from the Tower, began running the data kernels he'd recovered from Ex's probe into Stalker's Skiff's databanks on Europa. There was a lot of data, but it would take Nevermore only a few minutes to run through all of it. Soon, the AI had scanned all the data, breaking its encryption and running a few anti-viral tests. Sauron leaned forward as the data wound slowly onscreen.

"Well, well. This is rather... unexpected. Seems Stalker's been carting data out of the City's intel ops, using old New Monarchy access codes. Relay that to Orkrim. He'll have to speak to that Executor in the Tower, Hiado or whatever his name is. I'll send the other stuff to the Peacebreakers. Be sure to leave the source untraced on the PB message."

Kahniss' Skiff activated a momentary cloak, concealing it from view. The Cabal wouldn't notice its disappearance, being too busy with the other Skiffs, which, Kahniss noticed, hadn't destroyed each Harvester: presumably to keep the opening present.

The Skiff twisted suddenly, avoiding a burst of Solar missiles from a Harvester. They collided with the side of another Skiff, almost destroying it, but Kahniss ignored that: they served for his goals; they were expendable, as such.

A Raptor launched from the Tank, and quickly sped and Kahniss' Skiff hovered over the area from which it came. The underside dropped with Kahniss in it, who leapt out a second after, alongside the nine Tempest Whispers. They landed in the hangar, cloaked.

Anyways, he eventually came to find out he was gifted in the arts of precision kills and took on the idea of being a "sniper." I thought you guys wanted creativity on the thread and now you're condemming people for having soemthing that so much as dares to be something original and unique. I'm sure that all of you know what the Trinary Star Cult is in destiny, and I'm sure you know its not impossible for warlocks to be exiled, so why is it impossible and rediculous for a warlock to wield the dark?)

(The Trinary Star Cult curse the light, but they wield it all the same, because Guardians are nothing without it. Even if they regard it as a evil force, they will still use it, probably in an attempt to rid themselves of the Light by exhausting their abilities, as what happened to Eris Morn beneath the moon, as she escaped from the Hive.)

Soon some time later (the point when I hit level 25) he eventually was known for his insane sniper skills. He often carries more special ammo then primary (using ammo synthesiseseses)

He originally enlisted for the job of a guardian when he finally was old enough to fulfill his dreams of saving the world against all odds. When he was a young, annoying, chatterboxy child, his grandfather told him all the stories of his time as a guardian, back when only the Fallen were being fought. Cuz' in the story, your character is introduced to the races, as if you were the one sent to find out what it was. The fallen were the only race that were already there, right? Anyways, he eventually came to find out he was gifted in the arts of precision kills and took on the idea of being a "sniper." He eventually took a few rounds in the Crucible, constantly being slapped around by the higher guardians and the weapons they found during raids. However, against all odds, he was still awarded his Black Trung-D he still uses today.

I may have relinquished my power as co-gm, but I SWEAR on my reputation as a fair and balanced player who dosnt pull OP'd redicluious bullshit that I SUPPORT 75's character and idea. Belive me, Its MUCH more in depth and well thought-out than you think. But to reveal the full extent of his backstory and abilities would spoil what you would find out in the story. People, please reconsider your hasty judgment. Perhaps "its not in the lore so I can do it" is a poor argument. Even a terrible argument. But if you ignore this blunder, and take a step back, I beelive you will realize that this character is not OP'd. And before you laugh, and dissmiss anything I further say as lunacy, consider this: The darkbringer is essentially just a warlock version of Dregen yor with a few twists. And from a gameplay perspective, he dosnt have anything rediculious. No one-shots. No TPK abilities. Just a diffrent set of (equivilant) powers than the guardians. Asides, If we just had hive in this, you KNOW you'd be drawing conpairisons to the dark below the whole way through. Something other than Fallen, Hive, Vex, or Cabal is needed to spice things up. You can add new hive, or give them all fancy hats, but in the end hive are still hive. And this is as close as you'll get to another faction by lore standards without going full crossover and calling in the Covenent or the Horde or some other stupid shit. And let us not forget that 75 got SCREWED gameplay-wise last RP. Now, that cant be used as an excuse for being OP'd, but, as as I said before, 75 ISNT being OP. He's taking my old role as side antagonist. Please listen to my points and consider them fairly. I cannot, no matter how hard I try, sway minds blinded by hate.)

As the Darkbringer finished his little Hunter-killing-fest, he was surprised by a blade ramming itself out through the front of his armor. From behind him, as he collapsed, he heard the tread of armored boots on the dry ground. As the former Guardian lay dying, a single figure looked down on him, and spoke.

"You know, I never really bothered tangling with you cultists, but when you give off a massive plume of energy just for the heck of showing how "dark" you are, it makes you almost too easy to find. And even easier to kill."

The figure strode away, pulling his sword from the Darkbringer's corpse as he passed, keying his commset.

"Scythe, it's me. I dealt with that "energy spike" you wanted my input on. Just another Trinary Cultist, drunk on his own power. I'm heading back to base."

The Ether Eater lifted off, returning to Old Phoenix.

Bio: Although he came in as your average guardian, he eventually came out...the same.

      Theme song:https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gpqmoBYkQfc Because why not.

(Oh god it buuuuuurrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnnnnnnnnssssssssss. That bio is so wrong, at so many levels.

1: YOU DON'T ENLIST YOURSELF TO BE A GUARDIAN! Guardians are chosen from people killed in the Collapse, and most of those have lost their memories from their past life.

      2: YOU DON'T QUIT BEING A GUARDIAN!

3: All races have been known since the start of the Collapse, except the Cabal, they are debatable.

4: You don't put OOC text in your bio.

5: We are supposed to actually make our own stories, not just be lazy and write what happened when you first played the game.

Now for the next major complaint I have: HOW ON EARTH CAN YOU PAY SO LITTLE ATTENTION THAT BY THE TIME YOU HIT LEVEL 25, YOU DON'T KNOW BASIC STUFF?! Seriously, come on! You do not know that Guardians are reborn people who died in the Collapse? Have you even played the game?

And one final question: Have you ever partaken in an RP before?)

      (1. Okay, please kindly overdose on anti-asshole pills.

I still don't listen to the story.

Also, I'm an RP professional. I can put OOC sh*t in my bio if I want. And no, I DIDN'T KNOW THAT guardians were revived people. Why don't you grow up before you host an rp? Why? Calmly address the issues before your STUPID, WORTHLESS dying brain forces your poor, small population of braincells to commit suicide. I think I have "partaken" in more RP then you. I'm only new to THIS wiki's rp standards, and they seem like crap. I've seen better RPs then the ones on this forum. Besides, we already have the Oryx thing so this story is unnecessary,

Good day, and try as calmly as you can to make your way through puberty without crying. I know it's hard, I have been there. Just don't squirt yourself like you just did again, ok?)

    • Avgust and Sara's conversation was interrupted by the approach of another titan. The two turned to reguard the newcomer, who towered over even the taller-than-average lieutenant. The titan was plated in black and yellow, and a unique void light mark hung from his waist.

"Lieutenant Avgust." Varrus snapped off a crisp salute before continuing.

"Varrus, crucible champion. I overheard part of your debriefing with the commander. I would like to voulenteer join the force you are putting together to hunt down the followers of this Enxor. I usually devote most of my time to the crucible, but the threat of another hive god rising seems dire, and it's time for me to get back in the field."

Avgust watched as Scythe stomped out of the room, furrowing his brow as he began to contemplate a response.

I believe this will call for action, we cannot permit these Bones of Enxor to become something we cannot control." [...]

      [...]

(Actually, that's pretty much Scythe in a nutshell. He's basically going all Col. Kurtz right now. Don't worry, he won't be this bad for the rest of the RP.)

Sauron merely tapped his earpiece to indicate that he'd heard.

<Course laid in, Guardian-Kell. It would be suicide to approach the Tower while visible. Cloaking and jamming systems set to maximum. Aproximate ETA, 6 hours.>

Scythe then raised the rest of the fireteam on the comms. "Hey everybody, sorry for leaving like that, but Avgust broke our deal. I do have a support ship we can use, though. Get ready, we're leaving as soon as my ride gets here."

Inquisitor, you responded to me as if I were a lower life form, filled with flippin' hatred for no reason. So what if I don't understand the lore too well? It doesn't matter. A bio is NOOOOT a necessary part of a character, because it's honestly better to show off your character through rp. So please, think about how unnecessary your original comment was, all of you.

Do not expect an apology for me being an "asshat" until I see that you guys understand that that was really immature. Sure, maybe my response was, but if you were a little (a lot) nicer, would that really have happened?)

This RP relies both on knowlage of pre-existing lore, and individual creativity. So not knowing the lore is a serious handicap that will likely sour both your and others experinces. So, I respectfully request that you read up at least a little bit on the basic lore. And before you call this request unreansonable, please remember that there are two people here that are entirely new to the destiny universe and have never played the game before, who have each put a resectible amount of effort to read up, which shows. )

    • ( Wow. Just, wow. I'm not even going to say anything. One thing, though. Guardians aren't necessarily ressurected from the dead. If you'd actually bother to look in the Grimoire, you'd know that Shin Malphur was chosen to be a Guardian, rather then being revived as one. )

Arxus was still standing the Hall of Champions, observing all the ongoings. He watched as Scythe stormed out from the area. Likely story was, it pissed him off for the Tower to know that he was the flipping Kell of a Fallen House. That would not go over well, but you couldn't exactly hide things from the Vanguard and get away with it. They'd find out eventually, some way or another. Arxus leaned himself against the furthest wall of the room, watching to see what would happen. Hopefully and soon, debriefing would come.

Avgust had briefly left the Hall of Champions, but soon came back. Another Titan walked in, one he wasn't familar with. Certainly not a member of Fireteam Argus. Arxus chuckled to himself at the thought. They had already assembled a ragtag team of misfits in just a few months. Whatever the next adventure would be, it'd be crazy. Back to his previous thought, Arxus figured there were plenty of Guardians he wouldn't know about. Aside from the important ones, like Shaxx or Cayde, and Crucible champions or war heroes. Anything the stories spoke about. The stories were few, but Arxus managed to spectate a Crucible match or two. Illegal Crucible gambling was a big deal down in the Last City, unfortunately. Not that he even got caught up in that sort of business.

"Who's that, even? Arxus mumbled to himself, with his good eye gazing over the present Titan speaking with Avgust.

The Titan's Ghost popped out from nowhere, blinking and looking at the new Titan standing just across the room. "That's Varrus."

"He literally just said th-" Arxus was cut off as his Ghost continued to speak.

"He's a champion in the Crucible. Top of the leaderboards for 3 straight months." What the Ghost referred to was the Crucible leaderboards, being a sort of ranking system that Shaxx implemented to encourage Guardians to try their hardest. It seemed to work most of the time, but was incredibly prone to malfunctioning.

"A champion, aye? I figured those types wouldn't even bother going out into the field." Arxus muttered to himself. He had some respect for those in the Crucible, but the whole activity was a joke. Why on Earth would Guardians kill each other when there were bigger threats to face in the universe? Besides the obvious "it's for training" bit.

    • Sauron, still clad in his civvie clothes, peered over the newspaper at Arxus, who'd just entered. Knowing the custom of Titans, the Ranger figured Avgust would show up soon as well.

"Nevermore, I want you to start running taps on Avgust's combat data and comm feeds. Run through the databases of his ship as well. We need to deal with the leaks he's given out, including the data given to the Vanguard about the Blades. Scrub anything super-sensitive. Troop counts, capabilites. Leave the innocuous stuff. Check for third parties as well, in case he tries selling this stuff down the river. If we need to take him to lockup over this, so be it. Won't be the first "Champion of the City" we've had to bring in. Power corrupts, you know. But it least it doesn't corrupt the dead. Like me."

75- The idea of the evil Darkness infused character is fascinating. As both of our characters are voidwalkers -well, yours was, at least,- I'd like them to butt heads time to time. I was thinking of Dredgen Yor the entire time I read your description. However, he clearly needs a tidbit of... fine tuning. Characters that are unbalanced... make ReD angry, as I've learned. Fantastic, unique concept. But put all your might into balance. And just MAKE AN ACCOUNT. PLS. I'm sick of juggling numbers.)

      CHARACTER PROFILE

      Baryos Nitran

      Human

      Male

      Voidwalker

Appearance-Appx. 7'5, dark hair styled into a short fauxhawk, purple tinged- blue irises, pale white skin, missing his left small finger, muscular build.

      Weapons-

'Once Bitten'- A gift from Sauron after (one of?) his death[s] on Europa, it was heavily damaged during a Hive conflict, resulting in Baryos' eventual rebuilding of the gun. Formerly the Vanguard Auto Rifle 'Up For Anything,' the name was changed after the very atmosphere of the gun had changed. The newly Void- infused gun has a violet ammo display, a black and violet color scheme, and a large, slightly glowing, Rune of the Disciple painted on the side.

'Party Crasher +1'- Arc- Found by Baryos during a scouting mission near the Shattered Coast on Venus.

'Hezen Vengeance'- Solar- Baryos is not quite sure where this gun came from. It simply appeared in his Vault one night. Using the Rocket Launcher unsettles his Ghost.

Armor- Axiom Coven Helmet, Astrolord Gloves (Correct me here), Voidfang Vestments, Boots of No Tomorrow

      Shader- Sunsetting

      Jumpship- Quite Fine Damsel

Bio- Shortly before the Collapse, Baryos' father, Remus, sold stock for glimmer, then moved to a secluded hideaway in the Appalachian mountains, similar to Fallout's Vaults (Honestly, I'm a bit surprised Sauron never noticed that.) Soon after this, his parents had a daughter, with whom he became close and very protective. She was named Artemis, and she was very independant, frequently criticizing Baryos. However, their bunker is sieged by a wandering group of vagabonds called the Nomads. (Note- If you want to read a full version of this siege complete with backstory and such, it's on the House Of Storms- Eye of the Storm thread somewhere. It took me hours, so read it. Please.) Eventually, their whole family was killed off. Baryos' failures within that short time nearly drove him insane after he became a Guardian, leaving him with a severe case of PTSD.

I'd like to carefully and slowly re-open this haistily and sloppily stiched shut wound if only to carefully and properly sterilize it and re-seal it so it dosnt boil over with pus and infection later. In other words, I want to get the balancing tweaks for the darkbringer out of the way now, rather than later, when it will be way more of a pain in the ass. So, would all concerned please politely state thier recommendations for changes, and reasons for suggusting them so that they may be considered, judged and applied. Just to be VERY clear, I do not want to start the ragestorm again. I want to solve the problem without endangering the thread, or people's sanity. • (1: If Dark bolt is as effective as it sounds, then it needs a nerf. Perhaps Darkbringer only fires one bolt, which is powerful but needs to be charged up? Or he could fire a barrage of smaller but weaker projectiles.

2: He should only have one defensive ability, since an inpenetrable wall and a personal Ward of Dawn is too much.

3: Darkbringer should not be able to use Harness Will on Guardians. Break Will however, should be ok.

4: Make sure the cultists are cannonfodder, and not nearly as powerful as Guardians.

5: Rename the character to Hatebringer.)

    • (The break and harness will moves are somewhatt overkill in my opinion. Say he wanted the team to be totally destroyed, he could trigger Sauron's insanity by using Break Will, then seize hold of, say, Scythe, and then have him run around slicing the rest of the Guardians in half. However, I do want to see these powers used in a way that has 0% chance of shattering the RP into 1000000000000 pieces. I'd say reserve the break will to combat scenarios against Darkness related enemies, not humans. Harness will should only be used out of combat only when absolutely necessary. Some kind of visual cue should be given as he's taking control, like they walk in a strange manner, or their eyes glaze over or turn into the back of their head- something drasticly visible. He should NEED caution. Also, there needs to be a way to end the possession by force- hit them very hard [Avengers Loki staff style] or skin contact [Beyond: 2 Souls Aiden style.])

    • (Since he's still just a Guardian, he shouldn't have so many abilities. Like Inquisitor said, either the shield or Ward of Dawn, not both. Less powerful Dark Bolt would be appreciated. Getting rid of both Harness Will and Rift Tear would also help, unless Harness Will is only usable on weak minds (i.e. Citizens and those cultists) and can get him killed if we destroy his own body.)

    • Baryos was pissed and terrified and confused at the same time.

The Wizard was a clever bastard. She'd allowed him to see the his friends recieve the torturous message. But when his mind had raced for answers to Sauron's insanity, she'd stepped in and taken control again. That message to Sauron, the 'hardest thing he'd ever done' was an illusion. His Ghost, Lia, filled him in on the reality of the situation.

<Well, you crashed to the ground, foaming at the mouth. You fell into a coma. I transmatted you to the infirmary, and you pulled through. But...>

Lia paused, staring at the ground.

"What? Don't withold information from me, please."

<When you hit the ground, you started whispering words I couldn't understand. I could pick out a bit here and there. You said this a few times-> she started a recording of him.

"A million deaths. Million. A million. Deaths. A million deaths are never enough."

<There was a lot  of this as well->

"Enxor. Enxor. Enxor. End times for all. Dead but dreaming, he knows."

The words slithered in a chant from the speaker of the Ghost.

Baryos felt ill. He stood up, walked to the lodging's bathroom, and vomited.

He remembered the vile smell of the Hive on Europa. Their odor burned his lungs again, real but not real. He needed air, he couldn't breathe the stale room's recycled oxygen. He burst through the door, donning his Warlock robes. Sprinting through another set of doors,  the clean air of the Traveler's Walk cleansed his mind, soothing him immediately.

Baryos' memory kicked in. Things to do...

      He had to find Avgust.

    • Thank you for posting your suggustions. I now believe that half of this could have been avoided by posting more information. So here are some elaborations on his abilites.

Dark bolt can be compared to a slightly more damaging but slightly slower firing void wizard darkness blast. I believe the "rends armour with ease" can be removed.

The "darkness wrapped void shield" is not a ward of dawn equivilant. It is just a standard void shield, like those of minotaurs or psions. If you still want it removed, that may be possible.

Harness will renders his body immobile, and open to attack while in effect, and is mainly used to control cultists and the like, with controlling guardians being a difficult and last ditch resort. It also may only be cast on one target at a time.

Break will is meant to temporarily render a guardian heavily impaired, and encourage teamwork to prevent the death of the broken one. NOTE: it is not a one-shot, as it requires something else to actually kill the target. It also wears off after a short time and is rather difficult to cast. It also may only be cast on one target at a time, and may not be used at the same time as harness will.

Rift tear is used for travel and occasional repositioning during combat. It has limited range and cant really be spammed.

As for the cultists, most of them are cannon fodder. Able to fight intellegently, and use tactics, but, armoured in scavenged light armour and tattered robes, they go down about as easily as the average vandal/acolyte/psion/goblin. A few of the vetrans are tougher and more experienced, being more dangerous, skilled, and fanatical, but none of them could hope for and even one-on-one fight with a guardian. They rely on numbers and weapon specialists (snipers, machine gunners, and rocketeers) to kill you.

I hope this solves/clears up some things. If there are any changes you still want, please post them. And if there is anything I have not gone over that you want adressed, please post that too.

Oh, and for those of you wondering what gives me the athority to say or know any of this, 75 approached me with the base idea for this character, and we both kind of built on it from there. He still has the final say between the two fo us on which tweaks he wants to accept, but he has made it preety clear that he is open to all suggustions.)
