THE Tower[]

Isn't "The" part of the name for "The Tower"? Shouldn't that be the name of the article? Still Alive. 15:39, August 27, 2014 (UTC)

If you go through the article's history, you'll find this. Many sources call this location "Tower." Here is a video from in-game showing that even the Navigator screen displays it as "Tower." -- Vektor0 (talk) 19:14, August 27, 2014 (UTC)

Halo easter egg?[]

Is the phrase "Juvenes erant Sparte muros el hastes fines eius", as mentioned in the trivia section, supposed to be a nod to the Spartan Program in the Halo franchise, specifically the part where Spartans were trained since childhood? Or is it just a coincidence that it could reference a series that Bungie had started? Eddmario (talk) 04:28, January 4, 2015 (UTC)

Possibly, but it seems like a bit far of a stretch to me. As it stands, I don't think there is enough evidence for it to be acknowledged as an easter egg. Unless there is more to it, or Bungie themselves openly acknowledge it as a nod to Halo, it'll probably just be a coincidence. That said, the line does seem to describe the role that Spartan's ended up filling, but then it fits in with the role of Guardians too. (well, aside from the "young men" part I guess)
Either way, good spotting a year ago.

Too much of a stretch, it's clearly referring to the original ancient Greek Spartans (just as use of the term in Halo was). I don't think Bungie is allowed to put Halo easter eggs in Destiny since they don't own the IP any more. Haveblue7 (talk) 17:04, January 13, 2016 (UTC)
