New layout[]

This article needs a new structure, and I have a concept of a possible alternative. I'm posting this here because, well, I was originally planning to do this all on my own, but realized I wouldn't have the time or the energy, so I thought maybe everyone could contribute a piece (or more) to the layout.

Here's my concept:

== Conception ==
== Backstory and setting ==
== Plot summary ==
== Credits ==
=== Voice Cast ===
=== Crew ===
=== Art ===
=== Programming ===
== Appearances ==
== Game mechanics ==
== Marketing ==
== Response ==
=== Awards and nominations ===
== Trivia ==
== Gallery ==
== References ==

I'm for it. Not real sure what to do about Backstory and Setting, though--it seems a little clunky to me. Other than that, it's great.
I can see the predicament. How about "Premise"? --٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ Regular * talk * 18:48, September 1, 2014 (UTC)
What if we did something like this?

=== Crew ===
=== Art ===

=== Voice Cast ===
== Appearances == (what is this?)
== Marketing ==
== Reception ==

The appearance part was for like characters, vehicles, worlds, etc that make an appearance in the game. That might work for Halo, but for an MMO style game...not so much. It would be more trouble than it's worth to list every single article created. I guess I forgot to remove that one. Your list looks good. --٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ Regular * talk * 21:42, September 1, 2014 (UTC)
I'm not sure why we think the article needs a new structure. This seems to be busywork, not a real project to correct something wrong with the article. I'm all for adding more information and more links to other articles, but reworking the entire format of the article seems unnecessary; that time could be better spent elsewhere, IMO. Am I missing something glaringly wrong with the current structure that necessitates reformatting rather than just adding some new headings? Foman123 (talk) 22:15, September 1, 2014 (UTC)
The format looks odd, imo. A bunch of wiki-based video game articles look similar to the proposed, so I don't see why we should be different. And the new structure doesn't look like as big of an undertaking as you're making it out to be:
  • Story section can be shorten down to fit within the "Plot" section.
  • Development will include the current "Pre-Reveal" sections information, with some new information.
  • The "Gameplay" section can include some reworked bits from the "Style and Genre" section.
The game drops at midnight, so I can see our priorities being elsewhere, but I (with some help) can do the article at times during the week. --٩(͡๏̯͡๏)۶ Regular * talk * 20:37, September 8, 2014 (UTC)
