Starfire Protocol is an exotic Warlock chest armor piece.^[1] It can currently only be obtained as a random drop from Year 1 activities and legacy engrams.

Starfire Protocol can be retrieved from one of the following activities/vendors:

	Prison of Elders
	This item can drop as a Prison of Elders reward.

This item was also previously obtainable from one of the following sources:

	Nightfall
	This item can drop from Nightfall activities.

	Xûr, Agent of the Nine
	Xûr, Agent of the Nine, sometimes sells this item in the Tower.

	Unknown
	This item can drop in situationally dependent ways.

Upgrades[]

Starfire Protocol can also be upgraded with the following perks:

		Ascend
		Increases the Defense value of this armor to the highest available in Year 1.

Column 1[]

		Fusion Rifle Ammo
		Increases the amount of Fusion Rifle ammunition you can carry.

Column 2[]

		Upgrade Defense
		Increases Defense Power, allowing this armor to absorb more damage.

Column 3[]

		Heavy Weapon Ammo
		Increases the amount of Heavy Weapon ammunition you can carry.

Column 4[]

		Starfire Protocol
		Gain an additional Fusion Grenade.

Column 5[]

		Upgrade Defense
		Increases Defense Power, allowing this armor to absorb more damage.

Trivia[]

The Starfire Protocol perk cannot be combined with the Sunsinger Gift of the Sun perk. The maximum number of grenades allowed are two.
