The Season of the Hunt is a series of planned content for Destiny 2 that lasted between November 10, 2020 to February 9, 2021. It is Destiny 2's 12th season [1].
Summary[]
The presence of Xivu Arath the Hive God of War, has began with her High Celebrent being sent to the Sol System. Cryptoliths have been planted in the Reef in the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City, and one being found on the Moon. The High Celebrent kills Sagira, the Ghost of Osiris. On the Moon the the Guardian meets up with Osiris, but a Hive Knight who snuck up on Osiris and attempted to snuff out Osiris once and for all only to be stopped by a stranger. It was the face of an old enemy, Uldren Sov's face. But he does not recognize himself as Uldren, but as the Crow. The Guardian and the Spider speak and agree to deal with Wrathborns that are causing trouble in the Reef and go on Wrathborn Hunts to lower the numbers. Collecting more advanced lures to bait in stronger Wrathborns. Eventually to lure in the High Celebrent
Ending[]
The Crow and the Guardian work together to find and hut down Wrathborns until the mission Coup de Grace. The Guardian finally slays the High Celebrent of Xivu Arath and Crow expresses thanks for his time as a partner for a while. With the High Celebrent gone the threat of Xivu Arath has been dealt with for the time being, in which the Guardian returns to the Spider to claim the bounty Spider offered. Which was anything in his lair. The Guardians reward was Crows freedom and removal of the explosive chip in his Ghost. The Spider was reluctant of his request and tries to pass it off as a joke. The Guardian was serious knew that hostilities with the Guardian and him would not end well for both. Spider reluctantly gave Crow his freedom and told the Guardian to leave his lair.
