Scorned is the second story mission in Destiny 2: Forsaken. After the death of Cayde-6 at the hands of Uldren Sov and the Scorn Barons, the villainous group flees from the Prison of Elders and, The Guardian and soldiers loyal to The Spider attempt to clear out waves of Scorn that have invaded the Tangled Shore.
Synopsis
Scorned follows the Guardian as they clear the Tangled Shore of Scorn soldiers, helping transmit supply caches to The Spider, and eventually pick up the trail of the eight Scorn Barons for revenge. The Guardian arrives in Theive's Landing to recover two supply caches for The Spider.
The Guardian assaults the hideout of the Baron, when Elykris, the Machinist appears along with waves of enemies. After forcing the Machinist to retreat, another supply cache can be found deeper in the facility. Deeper into the hideout, Pirrha, the Rifleman appears. After taking a handful of shots at the Guardian, the Baron will retreat. The Guardian will be able to transmit another supply cache The Spider.
Further on, a Scorn Walker appears and must be defeated. The Scorn variation of the Walker has new attack patterns, including a wave of lock-on missiles and a summonable shield barrier. A grenade launcher can be found in the area to help turn the tide in the fight. The Guardian proceeds deeper into the hideout.
Reksis Vahn, the Hangman appears in a trap guarding another cache and must be fended off along with waves of other Scorn. The deepest part of the hideout is the Hollowed Lair, where the leader of the Barons, Fikrul, the Fanatic, taunts the Guardian before summoning a major boss enemy in the Scorn Of the Fanatic. After the completion of the mission, several Adventures will appear in the Tangled Shore for bounties.
