Rasputin is a Warmind built to defend Earth during the Collapse.[1] He is the only Warmind known to have faced The Darkness and survived.[1] He protects something deep below the Cosmodrome that the Fallen House of Devils desire to retrieve.[1] He also began connecting to AI that were formerly connected to other Warminds across the Solar System.
In The Dark Below, he comes under attack by the Hive, who are trying to either destroy or gain control of Rasputin. The player rushes in to defend him and repel the Hive's siege. [citation needed]
