Grimoire card Rasputin #5 seems to hint that, acting on his own initiative, Rasputin either convinced an entity here referred to as [O] (but is likely [[The Traveller]], and hereon assumed to be so) to cripple itself, or purposefully attacked [[The Traveller]] during [[The Collapse]], which would explain the scarring only occuring on the ground-facing side of [[The Traveller]].

Rasputin is a Warmind built to defend Earth during the Collapse.[1] He is the only Warmind known to have faced The Darkness and survived.[1] He protects something deep below Old Russia that the Fallen House of Devils desire to retrieve.[1] He also began connecting to AI that were formerly controlled by other Warminds across the Solar System.[2]

In Siege of the Warmind, Rasputin comes under attack by the Hive and a Guardian is tasked with defending him.[3]

In the Strike Fallen S.A.B.E.R., a Fireteam attempts to prevent the Fallen Shank S.A.B.E.R.-2 from accessing Rasputin's network and using his array of Warsats to attack the City.

In The Buried City, the player's Ghost mentions that "He's everywhere now" at the end of the mission while analyzing a machine.

Grimoire card Rasputin #5 seems to hint that, acting on his own initiative, Rasputin either convinced an entity here referred to as [O] (but is likely The Traveller, and hereon assumed to be so) to cripple itself, or purposefully attacked The Traveller during The Collapse, which would explain the scarring only occuring on the ground-facing side of The Traveller.
