Rarity

Rarity indicates how rare a particular weapon, armor piece, or Jumpship is. Generally, the rarer the item is, the more powerful it is. There are five levels of rarity, and each level is distinguishable by the color of the item's engram and inventory background:

1. Basic (White)
2. Uncommon (Green)
3. Rare (Blue)
4. Legendary (Purple)
5. Exotic (Gold)

Though players may carry as many exotic armor items as they like in their inventory, only one exotic armor piece and one exotic weapon may be equipped at the same time.
