Crypto-archeologists decode the past and our enemies, seeking new discoveries in matter engrams and artifacts returned by Guardians.
Master Rahool is the Cryptarch of the Tower who sells engrams to Guardians and decodes them into weapons and armor and exchanges artifacts for Glimmer.[2]
Upon achieving Cryptology Rank 1, encrypted engrams will decode immediately when picked up. Starting at Rank 3, after achieving a new Rank, the Guardian will be mailed an item that will turn into two to three engrams of a random rarity greater than or equal to decoherent (rare).
