Sir James Paul McCartney is an English musician, singer, songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and composer. He is best known as a member of the famous rock band The Beatles.

According to the Guinness Book of World Records, McCartney is the most successful composer and recording artist of all time, with 60 gold discs and sales of over 100 million albums and 100 million singles.[1] His song "Yesterday," written and recorded while he was a member of The Beatles, is the most covered song in history.[2]

In July 2012, McCartney and Bungie confirmed that McCartney, along with Martin O'Donnell and Michael Salvatori, is working on the soundtrack and score for Destiny.[3][4]
