The Nessian Schism is a Vex programming. The Nessian Schism are the Vex that have been influenced by The Conductor through the Echo of Command.

Overview[]

The Nessian Schism are exclusively encountered on Nessus following the death of The Witness. They are categorized into 2 groups: the Compelled Vex and the Choral Vex. The Compelled Vex are identified by the silica structures around the frames used by the Sol Collective. The Choral Vex are identified by the frames used by the Precursors and are directly under the Conductor's command.

History[]

The Nessian Schism was formed following the Witness's death and began to change Nessus after the Echo of Command landed there. The Guardian and Failsafe worked together to learn what the programming are doing to Nessus. They learn of the Radiolite being formed as a byproduct of Nessus undergoing a transformation to suit the Conductor's plans. After rescuing Saint-14 from the Conductor’s influence, the programming began to defend the inner reaches of the planetoid and were stopped by the Guardian after they learned that the Conductor was actually Maya Sundaresh, who was planning to use the Vex to find a copy of Chioma Esi. After the Conductor escaped into the Vex Network, remnants of the Nessian Schism began to infest the area where Protheon was uncovered by the Red Legion until by the Guardian with tactical aid from Failsafe and Osiris.
