I'm glad to see that Destiny Wiki finally merged with the unnecessary competition, but I don't quite like one thing you all decided one: the bland, awkward-sounding, unoriginal name - "Destinypedia". I did a test, and when I searched up "destinypedia", this site was the first result. If anything, I propose that you all come up with a new unique name, similar to what the Half-Life Wiki and Nukapedia did before they forked ("Combine OverWiki" and "The Vault").
PS: I don't mean to sound bold or anything; just throwing in my opinion.
I agree with this, sir. I mean, Destinypedia sounds too generic if we don't keep it named "Destiny Wiki." Perhaps we can have a community discussion and see if we can communicate to find a new, unique name with a Destiny related theme (like the COW, Combine is the organization within Half-Life).
Well in reality this was the 'original' Destinypedia, and was created to be consistent with the other like-for-like wiki names, such as Halopedia, Nukapedia, FinalFantasyXIpedia, etc. But I understand the concern. I'll speak to the other Bcrats and see what they think.
As for the google rankings, those will be repaired once our SEO catches up with us :)
Hey there. Us bureaucrats have discussed this on Skype, and we believe that a name change would be a good idea, but as we know very little about Destiny is would be hard to create a clever and unique wiki name as of yet. So we've decided to wait for a little more and to keep adding name ideas to the hat.
I just wanted to let you know that your Wikia community was chosen to be part of an experiment in which an app dedicated to your wikia would be released. You won't have to any more than what you've done for Game Guides. Just keep up the good work and we'll see how this goes.
If you're curious, the app will be available tonomorrow on the Android store and will be available in iOS as soon as Apple approves the app.
Oh cool. If there's anything you would like us to do to help improve the experience or ease of app creation for your techs let us no. Any thoughts on Windows? I'm going to assume no because the % is low, but worth an ask anyway haha.
Okay, to put this simply, I need help. I have noticed that you are a fan of Bungie related games (obviously) and I was wondering if you could come and help me out on the Bungie Fanon Wiki. Just before you say anything, yes, I am telling you this because you are an admin on this wiki. By the way, I don't mean to sound rude by saying that. Now, if you want to help me out, you can. If you don't, then don't. It's entirely up to you.
If you don't wish to help me out, is it possible that you could point me in the right direction as to what to do to get users and helpers?
Currently due to the smaller size of the wiki our admin quota is filled. However we'll be looking for more admins in the near future, so stick around and help us maintain the wiki and community, and no doubt you'll be made a candidate :)
Please see my edit here to view the problem. When using the 'Reference' button on the right of the edit screen (source mode) some things are wrongly put into the template. ('Title' in 'Year' and 'Year' in 'Publisher')
I can't make heads or tails about the template so I hope you could change it.
Thanks for the heads up. This is T3CHNOCIDE's template; until he has a chance to look at it, it may be best to just use source mode for referencing. You can use Help:Citation Templates for easy copy-pasting.
