Legionnaires are a class of the Cabal species that the player will face in Destiny. Not much is known about the Legionaries' combat style or weaponry.
Though Cabal have appeared in numerous concept art pieces and trailers, some have borne significant differences from others, including sometimes the inclusion of heavy shields. Legionnaires are speculated to be this latter class of shield-bearing Cabal due to their apparent similarities to shield-bearing ancient Roman Legionnaires.
