Hunger Pangs (Part 1) is a quest in Destiny: The Taken King that must be completed in order to earn the exotic scout rifle Touch of Malice. It is obtained after completing Shattered Past and collecting at least 15 Calcified Fragments.
After completing the quest, a Guardian must complete The Old Hunger and collect 30 Calcified Fragments to continue to Hunger Pangs (Part 2).

In a unique version of The Promethean Code, at the end of the mission, a door will open with a path that leads to a Taken Centurion that must be killed.
