The Destiny Limited Edition is a collector's edition of Destiny, and is priced at $99.99 USD (£89.99 GBP).^[1] The set is the first-tier physical limited edition version of Destiny and it will be released on September 9, 2014 for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360.^[2]

Destiny Limited Edition composite — The *Destiny* Limited Edition composite.

The Limited Edition includes everything that's in the Ghost Edition minus the Ghost replica, letter of introduction and Golden Age Relics pack. The contents is as follows:^[1]

Limited Edition SteelBook™ Case and Game Disc
Guardian Folio, containing:
- “Arms and Armament” Field Guide: Many believe the weapons and armor featured in this record are a myth. You will learn the truth.
- Postcards from the Golden Age: Our worlds have been claimed by our enemies. Now, it’s time to take them back.
- Antique Star Chart: Explore the wild frontiers of our solar system. Discover all that we have lost.
Collector’s Edition Digital Content: The City has provided you with a cache of items to start you on your journey, including:
- A Unique Ghost Casing

Vanguard Armory[]

As an added incentive to pre-order, players will gain early access to the Vanguard Armory which includes nine weapons, three helmets and an emblem.^[3] According to the Bungie, these items will be attainable through gameplay for those that choose not to pre-order.^[1]

Trivia[]

After pre-ordered versions of the Destiny Ghost Edition caused Walmart to cancel some reservation due to limit supply, Best Buy began experiencing similar supply shortages with the Destiny Limited Edition. Emails from Best Buy were sent out to customers informing them of the situation, and within the email, a compensation of $50 towards the online purchase of subsidiary editions of the game was offered to those affected.^[4]
