Exo is a player species in Destiny. Exos are self-aware pre-Collapse machines that have been rebooted, causing their memories and original purpose to disappear. Because of this, those of the species have been described by Bungie as "sinister, powerful, and tireless."[1]
Design and Inspiration
In terms of player design, Bungie drew its inspiration for the Exo from such sources as the Master Chief, The Terminator, and the undead.[1]
