Ecthar, Sword of Oryx is a Hive Knight ultra who appears in Patrol in the Dreadnaught. Ecthar is subservient to Oryx, as seen in the first cut-scene in The Taken King. He must be killed as part of the quest A Sword Reforged. His shield only takes damage from a legendary and exotic sword.
Trivia
- Ecthar has five eyes instead of the standard three.
- He is one of the few Hive that have been seen speaking English, and he does so fluently.
