Borealis is an exotic sniper rifle. It can be dismantled to generate Glimmer, Gunsmith Materials, and Legendary Shards. Borealis will be exclusive to PlayStation 4 until at least Fall 2018.[1]


This weapon has the following lore associated:

“Sounds dangerous.”
“If the internal matrix misaligns for any reason during its shift between outputs—damage, wear, a flaw in its production—the resulting feedback could [REDACTED].”
“That bad, huh?”
“If your definition of ‘bad' includes the [REDACTED] then yes, ‘bad' begins to describe it.”


Borealis can be obtained from loot drops in PvE and PvP activities and from exotic engrams.
