Announcements and Updates
Played 15 master nightfalls and not a single uzume sniper dropped :,)
The atheon cheese allows you to damage atheon before damage phase even begins.
However it all starts in the gatekeeper encounter.
Step 1. Right before the end of the gatekeeper encounter, jump through the Venus portal and start running around. Doing this should hopefully set your spawn point in Venus.
Step 2. Let your fire team finish the encounter and kill yourself in Venus, this should spawn you back in the throne room.
Step 3. Once you are back in the thrown room, rally to the flag and start the encounter. Once the encounter has started you should be spawned on Venus.
Step 4. Atheon should be spawned in Venus and you’ll be able to damage him and take away 90% of his health.
Strikes
So we know that the 2 classic cosmodrome strikes will be returning and there is also another seasonal strike coming out as well, this strike will be available early March for season pass holder and will open up for all D2 players around mid March. The strikes are listed below:
Exotics
So there are 2 confirmed exotics to be coming this season. Only 1 of these is known which is a solar bow called Ticuu’s Divination while the other is just known as a exotic quest with the only clue being that it is a Tex Mechanica weapon (Tex Mechanica is my favorite foundry) they are listed below:
Trials of Osiris
Now I know that many of you do not play trials but the rewards have been revamped for this season so I will be including them.
Weapons: there are 3 new weapons for trials any they are a Hand cannon, Pulse Rifle, and a Sword visuals below:
Armor: the new trials armor is visually appealing and looks menacing as well it is well themed and is definitely better looking than the previous trials set:
Trials cosmetics: Trials will be receiving a new ghost shell, ship, and sparrow. The ghost shell is obtainable after any trials game but the chances increase every time you hit 3/5/7 wins. The sparrow and the ship are only obtainable after going flawless and the chances to obtain them increase every time you go flawless. Visuals posted below:
And that is more or less what the major points of the season will be. If you want a more in depth explanation please use the links below: https://www.bungie.net/7/en/Seasons/SeasonOfTheChosen
https://www.bungie.net/en-us/Explore/Detail/News/50095
It official. So if you didn't get one from either the original dlc because of RNG, last year because no one was doing the event (everyone was playing shadowkeep since it just came out...that would be me...) You can get one from him. I haven't seen anyone with an un-sunseted shotgun yet. So far I've only gotten the smg and a friend of mine got the sniper rifle. Still, it may not be in the drop table.
Update: IKELOS weapons also drops as random loot from enemies.
Hi everyone!
With Rise of Iron just around the corner everyone has been busy working to get the wiki ready, and grabbing screenshots of items that could soon become harder to obtain, as has happened with every single expansion release in the past.
Anyway, here is the summary for the backend changes that have been made over the past month.
- The upload form at Special:Upload has been updated. Its currently in a "beta" state, offering stable functionality but still needing refinement. Feedback is welcomed.
- A countdown to Rise of Iron has been added to the main page.
- DestinyWikiBot has worked hard and created a tonne of missing articles. The bots logic is always getting better, but if you spot anything that isn't right, let us know.
Wikia has been busy in this past month as well.
- Edits can be "liked". Help:Appreciation
- Efforts are being made to better tie in the Discussions and Wiki communities.
Hope everyone has been well.

Hi everyone,
Over the past few weeks I've been overhauling the image categorisation on the wiki. As part of this I've been rebuilt the upload form that appears on Special:Upload.
This update simply serves to support the new image category structure, nothing fancy.
I plan to improve and refine it over time, so if anyone has suggestions, fire away!
Hi everyone!
Here is the summary of changes over the past month.
- MediaWiki:Community-corner has been updated.
- Destiny Wiki:Moderators has been created, to provide information on the role of moderators, and list current moderators.
- DestinyWikiBot has been busy creating articles for missing inventory items.
- The Community to-do list on the Community Page has been utilised. The to-do list includes several general tasks, identifies specific target areas, and has a link to Destiny Wiki:User Requests, a page where any user can make article improvement suggestions.
An updated upload forum should be rolling out in the next few days. Once its out I'll announce it in the forums. I want to simplify the process of uploading images (namely item images) as much as possible, so ANY suggestions on how I can make it easier for everyone is welcomed.
Hope everyone has been well, until next time.

Hi everyone!
Here is the summary of the changes made in the past 2 months.
- You may have noticed that Wikia has rolled out Special:Community. Here is the Blog Post about it.
- With its introduction a new side rail module was added. This has been styled via MediaWiki:Common.css by extending the existing side rail styles.
- As of writing, the Community page isn't being affected by our custom styles, giving it a drab grey look. This will be fixed in a day or 2 when Wikia finishes that part of the rollout.
- The image categorisation structure has been completely overhauled, with the goal being to aid in maintenance tasks, prepare for the eventual sequel to Destiny, eliminate redundancies, and still be navigable by the community.
- Most of the new image categories have been created, the exception being the categories related to inventory item images.
- Well over 2000 images have been categorised under the new system already.
- The UI at Special:Upload will be updated to reflect the changes soon after the recategorisation has completed.
- T3CHNOCIDE has refreshed the wiki's Twitter account. The account is now operated by a bot that at this stage posts the weekly/daily activities, weekly reset, links to articles, and some Destiny Wiki stats.
- And of course, there's always more that I've missed.
There are more changes planned for the coming month, especially now that Rise of Iron has been announced.
Suggestions and feedback on what's changed is always welcomed, and wanted.

Hi everyone,
Here is the recent changes rollup for April.
- User:DestinyWikiBot no longer is active in the chat. While its presence did increase the number of users that joined in for a time, it was mainly to ogle at the fact that someone (or rather something) was in the chat.
- The Convert template has been superseded by Module:Convert, as it uses significantly less pages, and should greatly improve performance if used. At this stage, the documentation is nothing more than link to the module on Wikipedia.
- Uncategorised images have started to be categorised. Similarly, improperly categorised images are being fixed. Once this is complete, the category structure for images will be overhauled, with the intention of preparing in advance for the eventual and inevitable sequel, and to improve navigation.
- All item articles should now have an associated itemhash value in the infobox. The exceptions to the rule are here: Silicon Soldier/List of Items without an Itemhash.
- Modified Monobook.css to share the same background colour as the standard Wikia skin.
- DestinyWikiBot has created articles for the majority of the items introduced by the April Update.
There is more, as always, with more changes planned on the horizon.
If you have any questions, feedback or suggestions, fire away.
Hi everyone!
Here is the summary of the changes made to Destiny Wiki in the past month.
- T3CHNOCIDE has been busy working on DestinyWikiBot.
- The bot now is active in the Chat, providing hourly chat archive functionality, and provides a few commands of use to moderators. (below)
- !kick - Kicks specified user from the chat
- !ban - Bans specified user from the chat
- !unban - Unbans specified user from the chat
- !status - Returns basic chat bot running information
- !update - Forces chat log update prior to end of hour
- The article create/update functionality has been rewritten and improved.
- Can now handle creation of articles for items that will require a disambiguation page.
- Can now handle creation of articles by itemhash value. (Syntax is
*||itemhash||
, primarily serves as a workaround for items hidden at the Bungie.net Armory)
- The bot now is active in the Chat, providing hourly chat archive functionality, and provides a few commands of use to moderators. (below)
- Refinements to design of Flag Templates.
- Template categorisation has been redone. It should now be much easier to find the template your after.
- Removal of several templates that duplicated functionality of others, were unused, etc.
- General category clean up.
- Started clean up of UnusedFiles.
- Added Video Integrator JavaScript extension. This was added to bring support for Twitch Stream embedding, and will not work for mobile users. As such, this is not for use on articles.
I'm sure I've missed something, but that's the bulk of it there.
If anyone suggestions for this month, fire away!
Hi everyone!
Here is the summary of the changes made to Destiny Wiki in the past month.
- The Images template has been modified in an attempt to help sort the crazy number of articles occupying the Articles needing images category.
- The "itemtype" parameter is used to specify the type of item the article that needs the image is, e.g. "itemtype=Armor". This parameter is for articles that focus on an item, and all item articles that use the template have been updated with the changes.
- The Infobox/PvPmap template has had its parameters simplified. No articles need to be modified, as my bot has already made the necessary changes. The following parameters have been changed:
- num_players > players.
- num_of_heavy_ammo_drops > heavyammo.
- stationary_turrets > turrents. (this parameter may be redundant, if so let me know).
- The API template had its style updated to that of the other article management templates.
- The Quote and BigQuote templates have been given a visual overhaul to bring it inline with the wiki's current style.
- The references section has had CSS added to slightly reduce the font size. One this note, keep in mind that when referencing content on the wiki, it must be contained by <small></small> tags.
EG: <small>[[Article Name]]</small> - The "Title" template has been removed, due to it be incompatible with the mobile skin. The functionality offered by the template is still available with the use of the DISPLAYTITLE magic word.
EG: {{DISPLAYTITLE:Alternative Article Name}}- There is a bug on the mobile skin regarding the use of the magic word and use of the editor. Basically, if on the mobile skin you were to start editing, you'll end up editing the page at Alternative Article Name rather than Actual Article Name. Wikia has been informed of this issue, and it has been confirmed on their end, so rest assured a fix is incoming.
- Performance improvements:
- Redundant JavaScript has been removed.
- The JavaScript dependent CategoryButton template was redesigned to require no JavaScript.
- CSS has been optimized.
- Several main page images have been compressed, saving at least 500kb overall.
- The JavaScript animated main page navigation squares have been modified to use the new CSS3 animations.
- Silicon Soldier Bot was given the bot flag, stopping its automated edits from flooding WikiActivity.
If there are any areas that everyone would like to see worked on going forward, let me know.
--Silicon Soldier
Hi everyone.
I've got an alternative account for automatic and assisted edits that I occasionally use to aid in template maintenance tasks. In the past its been used to quickly rollout changes to templates (such as the switch from {{Infobox/Vehicle}} to {{Infobox/Sparrow}} on the sparrow articles).
For these sorts of tasks its worked great, but it has also quickly filled the recent activity feed. It gets particular bad when you consider that some templates like {{Infobox/Armor}} is on over 1300 articles.
There is a way to stop this, its called the bot flag. But for this to be applied, the community needs to support the decision.
So, if you support adding the bot flag to User:Silicon Soldier Bot, post {{Support}}. If you oppose, post {{Oppose}}. If you have any questions or concerns, fire away.

Hi everyone!
Lots of changes has been made recently, mostly behind the scenes, so I though I'd create this post to keep everyone in the loop.
- A new infobox has been created for quests called Infobox/Quest. This infobox has been implemented on all quest pages, except for some from before the release of The Taken King.
- A new infobox has been created for sparrows called Infobox/Sparrow. Every sparrow page should have then new template applied.
- With sparrow articles no longer requiring Infobox/Vehicle, it has been redesigned to cater for articles detailing enemy vehicles like the Pike.
- Infobox/Decoration has been merged with a redesigned Infobox/Item. Every article that uses either infobox should already by updated.
- Infobox/Jumpship has been updated and every jumpship article updated to reflect the recent changes.
- For those who the Monobook skin
- The CSS (styles) for the Wiki has been consolidated at MediaWiki:Common.css so that both the default Oasis (Wikia) skin on Wikia and the Monobook skin can use the same style resources. Any skin specific styles are located at their respective pages (MediaWiki:Wikia.css and MediaWiki:Monobook.css).
- The JavaScript has been consolidated at MediaWiki:Common.js so that functionality that is compatible with both skins can be used on both skins. Any skin specific JavaScript will be at their respective pages (MediaWiki:Wikia.js and MediaWiki:Monobook.js).
There are many more small changes, but those are the highlights (that I can remember).
All infoboxes (excluding Factions and User) have been updated to Wikia's new infobox system.
These updates greatly improve the presentation and usability of infoboxes on mobile devices. For users of the full site, this should be simply a behind-the-scenes change.
If infoboxes appear odd, please first try a cache refresh by Ctrl and F5. If issues still persist, try refreshing the article adding ?action=purge to the end of the current web address. EG destiny.wikia.com/wiki/Destiny_Wiki?action=purge.
If after trying the above the issues aren't resolved, let me know.
Now a question.
My goal was to update every infobox across the wiki, however when I reached the User infobox an issue was discovered. External images (such as via {{R}}) are not supported by the new portable infoboxes. I have made a work around for the issue, however it will not work for mobile viewers.
Given that most user pages appear to be desktop oriented, does everyone want to make the jump anyway?
Vote using {{Support}} or {{Oppose}}.
I'll also contact Wikia staff to see what can be done about bringing true external image support.
DestinyWikiBot has been a huge help in adding content to the wiki using the Destiny API, but there is still some cleanup that needs to be done as we modify our pages and layouts according to the changes in both Destiny itself and the needs of the community. The administration has decided it would be wise to add a second bot to this Wikia to help distribute these tasks among the admin team. I would manage this bot.
Please vote below in support of or opposition to this motion using the {{Support}} or {{Oppose}} templates, and feel free to discuss or ask questions.
Hi Destiny Wikians!
As many of you may have noticed the wiki was significantly updated today with a new theme. As part of a celebration of this year's Bungie day and the release of The Taken King in 65 days we have updated the theme as the first stage of a series of changes to the wiki.
Some of the introductions we've included in the theme change are live updated modules on the main page. Here event and activity information such as bounties, daily missions, crucible playlists and Xur's inventory will be automatically updated using information from Destiny's servers.
If you have any feedback for the theme or future ideas please feel free to place them here.
Regards, The Admin Team
Hello Destiny Wikians,
Over the last few weeks I've been working on a couple of automated programs designed to keep the wiki updated using live data pulled from the destiny API.
Included in these programs is a function designed to check if photos on the API already exists on the wiki, and if it doesn't, the program will upload the photo and mark it as an API image.
For this to work effectively we need to activate the upload from url extension already existing on the wiki. Activation of extensions require community consensus.
I've written this forum to request opinions on activating this extension on the wiki. Please reply with your support/opposition to the motion on this forum.
Please note this extension will be restricted to admins to avoid any possible abuse.
Thanks, T3CHNOCIDE
Hi all,
As some of you may have noticed, today there has been a significant up surge in the number of new pages created. This is because I currently have DestinyWikiBot, a semi-automated program, pulling information from the Destiny API.
This means any items missing from the wiki is being pulled over with the information available. All pages created by the bot have been flagged as an API edit and will be published as a list so editors can check through the pages and add any information available only through the game.
This period of editing up surge should only last another couple of hours. In the mean time if you have any queries just let us know here.
