A Tale of Two Guardians is a quest with several steps. The quest is designed to introduce new players to the game, with the aid of an existing Destiny player. Obtaining the quest involves an existing player sending a link generated at Bungie.net to another player who has not played Destiny for more than 7 days, who then uses the link. Doing so marks both players as "Linked Friends" and allows the quest to be acquired by both players from The Speaker.
