information on multiplayer

im thinking of getting Destiny but i have a question about the MP can you unlock the legendary and exotic guns on MP or do you need to do the single player to unlock good weapons and armor

Good question. Most Legendaries and Exotics are frequently acquired from Multiplayer activities- the raids are an important source of items. Those raids are Multiplayer focused, as are the strikes and all of the Player vs. Player activity.

Well, everything is RnG based (meaning that you simply can't get the weapon you want 100%, it's by chance), but Death is correct. Although, you can solo raids and strikes (not PvP) if you want the feel of single player adventure mode.
